Strike Team Hydra

Strike Team Hydra is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is a turn based tactical game and, at first glance, you have to admit it kind of looks alright... but as always you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover (although, I strongly advise if the cover is made out of a McDonalds burger wrapper and just sort of stapled on, you probably won't like the book either). A tortured analogy from me, and I apologise to analogies everywhere. Regardless, while this kinda looks okay, it's not. Most of of the defects are from the mobile app heritage... specifically the game levels are small and repetitive. Mobile phones can't handle large game levels... they're just handheld limited computers and not ideal for gaming. But when mobile devs dump their mobile apps onto Steam as a cash grab, it means PC gamers have to sift through these inferior products. There's a lot of games on Steam, and comparing any mobile app to a genuine PC game is going to be a bad match for the app store guys. Very good.

Played this on Android tablet many years ago and enjoyed, got it in a deal with Gladius for PC and still a very good playable tactical sci-fi TBS. Developer needs to fix some issues with shop as noted in forum.
