not bad but each run not so much rng, every round feels the same, every level up just same skills over and over no rng, and the generated daughter only differnt stats and really minor unique feat no unque skills or maybe like possibilites rare daughter or anything, just pretty boring each run, and nothing to entertain on each run, like hades has story n each run so every run does not feel pointeless , feelsl like a journye, while this? only feel like a chore with no progres or no story sad, the concept is pretty good tho

picked it up when it was onsale for $3 and its Xcom but incremental...if that makes any sense. You are doomed to fail and keep trying over and over again making choices on what "Daughter" will live to die making the deepest cut, having played alot of Xcom losing Daughters makes me wanna save scum like hell but i know that sacrificing some of the ones that ive had around the longest and basically perma losing them to make another Daughter either healthy again or stronger makes me feel like i failed them and most of the time starts a chain of loss, but that is the theme of the game and unfortunately they cant all make it to the end i love the style of the game and the music is also amazing, story is good the gameplay gets abit repetitive by the time you reach the first few bosses as theres not alot of skills and classes to equip your Daughters with the game is designed to make you lose over and over to come back stronger and you do get things like memory shards that give buffs and other things that you can use to make your daughters stronger, kinda wish there was more to the game tho, theres no weapon upgrades or armor like Xcom and the only utility you have is just the abilities…

Othericde is an indie French strategy game with gothic-horror style elements. It is not a horror game, and you don't even have to like the art style to enjoy the game. I, in particular, find the art disturbing and do not care much for the themes of the game. The strategy is where this game takes off. [h3] A Unique Strategy Experience [/h3] Othercide is a very interesting game as it uses a timeline system based on which actions you took in your previous turn. All characters, thus, act independent from their team, allowing for some truly master-class turns and strategic thinking. While there are limited skill options, the combinations of those skills and which units you bring/use adds a lot of skill expression. The bosses are also quite hard without feeling impossible. [h3] The Difficulty Curve [/h3] The game does not shy away from telling you that it wants to absolutely defeat you. But, with a generous rogue-lite, reset element, Othercide is very beatable. I finished the game on my 11th recollection for my first run. After your first game, I encourage you to try it again, and reduce the number of resets. With enough practice and game knowledge, it is possible to even beat the game…
