This should have been a mobile game. But then...even mobile games have more to them than this does.

isle of jura is mechanically shallow, looks extremely cheap, and offers very little motivation to the player to keep grinding away. money ceases to be a meaningful resource a bit over an hour in and clearing your inventory becomes an annoying chore. the island is tiny, dull, and offers no reward for exploration and curiosity. there's an NPC in a tent who serves absolutely no purpose. it all feels haphazardly slapped together and i can't say i had a good time with it. the only potential audience for this game is people who have never played a fishing game before and would like to see if the genre is for them, and even then i'd probably still tell them to go try out webfishing instead.
