What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
The Exit 8 is a very simple “spot the difference” game with a clever enough premise – you are trapped in an endless underground hallway, seemingly an exit from the subway, and you need to escape it. The way you do this is by following the hallway until you find an anomaly, then turning around and going the other way when you do. You must do this 8 times to escape. It is somewhat eerie, but there’s only a few jump-scares; it is mostly a “spot the difference” game with some vague unsettling/horror theming. If you fail, you end up back in hallway 0; if you succeed at spotting whether or not there is an anomaly 8 times in a row, you beat the game. All in all, it is a very short, small bite-sized game that will likely take you under two hours to see everything and 100% complete it. I think it was okay but I think the concept was cooler than the game actually was to play in practice.
very good game
Nice short game you can beat it in 10 minutes and find all anomalies in around an 1 hour. Game also looks good and runs well and is extremley small in size
Short but wonderfully unnerving.
gopher like
Absolutely fantastic addition to the anomaly-hunting genre. Fun to play locally with another person, satisfying to complete, and leaves you looking forward to the second installment of the franchise, Platform 8.
