About Move 78
Eight complete strangers awake in an unfamiliar complex with fractured memories. They find themselves forced to solve intricate escape rooms and fight for their lives in deadly games.
Uncover the mystery behind each of the group's hidden motives and lost memories. What brings them together? What happened to the outside world, and who is The Botfly Killer that haunts their nightmares?
Features:

Sigrid is a young woman from the UK. Recently her time has been dedicated to searching for a missing friend.
Hunter is from Korea, he brings his upbeat and energetic personality into everything that he does.
Lyuba was born in Russia. She hopes that her programming skill, combined with her computer knowledge, can aid the team.
The first thing that the others notice is Lea’s strong French accent. She is convinced that everything that is occurring can be explained with rational conclusions.
Ethan’s calming English accent and demeanour are a welcome relief to the group. His proficiency in medicine makes him a welcome asset to the team.
Dushane’s London accent sometimes leads others to misjudge him. Due to this, he acts guarded around most people.
Bates naturally fell into the role of leading the group. From his attire, it’s clear to the others that he serves as part of the German army.
Max is anything but the stereotype of the typical New York resident. Quiet and confident, he likes to work by himself rather than with others.
Erin is in a lot of trouble…

What Steam players say

(While I do not recommend the game for most people, it is a must buy for a very specific subset of people. Read on) Insert mandatory lament about no "mixed" option here. It feels petty to give a negative review to a 1.5 year old game with only 30 reviews to its name, but the buyer deserves to know what they are getting into. If you are a galaxy brained escape room enthusiast who laments that you have cleared all other offerings and that those other offerings held your hand too much- this game might be for you (but see notes below!). For the rest of you though, Escape Simulator or Escape Academy are two much better and complete packages. For context on the critiques below, I do escape rooms IRL as often as I can round up friends to do so. We have a high clear rate. I've got a balanced escape room skillset so I feel like these observations would be corroborated by your "average" escape room goer. 1. BIG LOGIC LEAPS A number of puzzles require big logic leaps. Even using the hint system (more on that below), what to do and where to do it is not always clear. 2. INCONSISTENT AND INADEQUATE HINTS There are no global hints if you are stuck, only puzzle specific hints. Hints vary wid…2 found this helpful
Great puzzle game! It also has a cool story, graphics and voice acting. Puzzles are diverse and some are hard at first, but that's kind of the point. I also had a lot of fun playing the extremely hard minigames (don't worry, you can skip them). If you like board games don't skip the dice game. It's a really cool concept.1 found this helpful
Great puzzles, I recomend the game to escape room fans. The visual novel part I didn't like, but you can skip it if you want.1 found this helpful
I really wish there was a "just okay" rating. It wasn't horrible for an escape room type game, and will scratch that itch for many who are just looking for a puzzler visual novel. However, I found that several elements didn't feel flushed out and just made it hard to finish. The story was strange and grotesque. and the games were tedious or unnecessarily complex. Choices really don't matter as the game is linear and blocks progress until previous tasks are complete. I enjoyed the memory rooms, but the demon games were exhausting. At some point about half way through, I just wanted to get to the end and started skipping puzzles. Total playtime is around 5 hours so if you get it on sale, and you enjoy eccentric horror stories, then it would be a recommend. For the general puzzler audience, I think this is a pass.1 found this helpful
I recommend it to everyone. Very good game, though it is a bit difficult sometimes :)1 found this helpful
Great lower scale 999-esque game. Although it strays from the formula by including some skill based minigames, I was able to complete them with a few tries. I was able to solve all of the escape room puzzles rarely using hints, and I never needed to use every available hint. A couple of things I want to point out: parts of the tutorial area are too dim on default settings on my monitor, and Sigrid's voice is really faint compared to the other characters.
