About Prometheus Wept
Prometheus Wept is a turn-based, party-based isometric role playing game set on Earth, in the aftermath of the digital apocalypse. Imagine a near-future Earth where technology has become even more integrated and essential to daily life. Advanced communications, lifesaving healthcare, frictionless finances, and fully automated agriculture, manufacturing, and transport keep the world running. Then, in less than a day, it all vanishes.A devastating virus, unleashed through an unprecedented cyber-attack, tears apart the foundations of civilization. Automated industries grind to a halt, communications fall silent, healthcare flatlines, and financial systems collapse. What follows is not a temporary crisis, but generations of chaos, widespread loss of life, a descent into barbarism, and the splintering of nations into isolated, insular city-states.Become a wandering Classical Technologist, surviving among the splintered remnants of humanity, searching for and attempting to restore the technological relics of humanity's golden age.Make a myriad of choices, little and large, to shape your journey through the world of Prometheus Wept. However, as in real-life, your choices will eventually catch up with you, and some will even pursue you to distant places.
- Will you chop down a tree in the path of a convoy to halt it, or deploy makeshift spikes to blow out the truck's tires?
- Will you employ lethal force against the residents of a dilapidated fishing port, who have fallen prey to a mysterious, collective madness, or will you take a softer approach?
- Will you destroy a bridge to make a river crossing more perilous for your advancing enemies, or dispatch a runner to secure reinforcements?
- Will you help overthrow a questionable oligarchy, or cement their position against growing unrest? After all, in the post virus world, civilized is a relative term.
- Turn (AP) and Party Based Tactical Combat: battle it out with a variety of melee, ranged and explosive weapons, with aimed and special attacks, powerful perk-based abilities, attacks of opportunity and more.
- Use The Environment To Your Advantage: Destroy cover to leave enemies exposed, use a variety of environmental objects against your foes, and exploit interactions between the primal forces of fire, water and electricity to your advantage.
- System infiltration: Transfer your character's consciousness into the treacherous environment of a corrupted computer system, while allies protect you from physical world threats. Employ a range of scripts (abilities) to overcome corrupted system security, and commandeer physical world systems like defenses and doors from within the machine.

Game is definitely promising, maybe even to the level of shadowrun series (although weaker games of series), but as of now there are too many bugs, way too many bugs. So, wait until full release.9 found this helpful
tough little turn-based RPG set after all tech dies. The writing’s good, the world’s bleak in a cool way, and the combat makes you think. if you like tactical fights and scrappy survival vibes, it’s solid.4 found this helpful
Prometheus Wept is a fun little RPG/Squad tactics game at a good price. The Dev is also very responsive to the community and works to make his game as good as possible with their feedback. Buy it, try it out, it is definitely worth the asking price.2 found this helpful
Another great turned based tactical rpg from Timeslip Softworks. The work from Vigilantes has further enhanced the Dev's expertise in making games and it shows in Prometheus Wept. Prometheus Wept flies under the radar. Dont you miss it.1 found this helpful
A fun game so far, with lots of detail in dialogue and choices for combat. The game has a lot of parameters, but it does a good job of explaining them. The dialogue tends to be a little corny. I rate this game 4/5.
I loved this Dev's previous game, Vigilantes, and was hoping for something similar, but this is a different game. I bought it thinking that it was finished, but it is apparently still in early access. It is a turned based tactical combat game with RPG paper-doll characteristics, e.g., improving stats, gear and inventory. That part of the game is pretty good. There is a strategic map you can use for fast movement around the world. The maps are limited to a few minor local "quests" and a main quest per map. After playing through the first three episodes/maps, it desperately needs a mini-tactical-map, so you can get an overview of where you are on the tactical map and plot how to move around each area, as the camera view is too constrained to see very far. As it is now, I got lost repeatedly, headed in the wrong direction, etc., and that's not fun. I'll check back in on it when it is out of Early Access.
