(Two weeks before game release.) Took me 6 hours of gameplay to decide I'll never enjoy this game. I've played thousands of hours of complex games: XCOM, Civilization, Starcraft, Diablo, Age of Wonders, Endless Space, Warhammer, MMOs, and many others. However, I hadn't tried roguelike / survival games. Maybe just not for me. My two main issues with this game: 1) The complexity seems "overkill", or better if add slowly as complete missions. Too many details to consider re weapon types/stats and health/food/pain/fractures. 2) Low-res graphics. Why? Even a mobile phone can show way more detail than this. Not visually rewarding. Those low-pixel images look like a pain to draw. And unnecessarily difficult to distinguish. Easier to create hi-res image of each weapon, person, etc., then down-sample it to device resolution. Would still have much more detail than this! And when examine item, could use hi-res still as "showcase shot" to convey full imagery.

I have played the game since the beta I have put more hours into recently than i did back then. the game has never been more approachable and I do find myself enjoying the game A LOT more than I did. I feel that the loot system has been highly updated duffel bags and cigs are much easier to find and are essential to any lengthy run, on top of that ship upgrades are easier to find on normal difficulty the game gives you free emergency kits when you die which helps not delete the save. some parts are extremely hard but thats the fun of games not beating them on the first go around and you wont beat this on your first try.

Love this game it keeps me coming back all the time, one thing i have noticed is when you get to upgrade you gear and clones, you only get to upgrade so many recipes and they have to stay in the list even if they are maxed out at 10 and every upgrade cost more supplies, so I would have more fun if I could keep upgrading my stuff and all of it not just a few but other then that great game!

This game is great. One of a kind experience right here and that's a good thing as well as a bad thing. This game is not only very different, but hard. Which, I'd imagine, is exactly what the devs are going for. This game takes a dark souls approach to things so to speak. What I mean by that is it doesn't hold your hand. You WILL die. Over and over again... My advice to you dear reader? Embrace it. Expect it, but don't stress over it. Even if it happens a lot and you have to restart a couple times. If you can make it past the learning curve there's genuinely an amazing game here that's worth sinking your teeth into. The graphics look great, theres a ton of depth, and I could see someone literally sinking thousands of hours into this game. The soundtrack is a BANGER! 9/10 loses Points with me only because of the steep learning curve combined with the lackluster, text heavy, tutorials that leave you lost and confused when you're left to your own devices at the beginning for the first time. If you made it this far thanks for reading 😁
