About Feria d'Arles

Help Molly achieve her dream of entering the legendary Feria d'Arles - France's greatest bullfighting competition. Meet, betray, and generally become a nuisance to a host of characters. Point and click your way around the French city of Arles, famous for:
  • bull fighting
  • being difficult to pronounce
  • being where Van Gogh cut his ear off (and painted some masterpieces, I guess.)

With glorious pixel-art animation and quirky puzzles, this is a small game about a girl with big dreams.

DISCLAIMER: No bulls were harmed in the making of this game. (One parrot tried to start a fight.)
  • Pixel-art and animation by Matt Frith.
  • Illustrations by Jen Pattison.
  • Original music by Chris Köbke.
  • Additional writing and design by Alasdair Beckett-King.

Really short (took me 77 minutes to get 100% achievements not just only finish it), but really good adventure game. You play as a kid who wants to become a bullfighter. Set in Arles: a town most famous for Van Gogh living there.

It's an ok short game, took me 2 hours to finish without looking at a walkthrough. Unfortunately, it finishes very much in a cliffhanger, and there clearly won't be a sequel, so beware if you don't like lose ends. I would not have gotten it if that detail was mentioned on the page.

A game lovingly crafted and with a clear Lucas Arts inspired pixel art style, this delightful jaunt of one young schoolgirl's journey to become a heroic matador is delightful. While some puzzles feel som easy to overthink, the length, music, and puzzles all offer a great time.

Feria d'Arles is a delight. It's a super oldskool point-and-click adventure game for adventure game fans. You are thrown straight into the puzzling without much setup. The game is very short and very small - only about 5 locations - but that helps to ease the pain of what could be some typically absurd solutions. There's only so much stuff to try to use with other stuff, and although it's ridiculous in real life it all makes sense in slapstick point-and-click land. The main character is a cheery young tourist who wants to take part in a bullfight. Her nemesis is a hapless mayor and (eventually) the bull. The jokes come thick and fast, nothing drags out, and before long you're running from the law with a snazzy new haircut, the end. Great fun.

Fun little game. Quite short but i bought it on sale so no complaints. Not overly difficult but very enjoyable. puzzles were fairly original and made sense. Hope to see more from this developer.

Thoroughly enjoyed this game! The background story was pretty entertaining. The dialog was really funny. The puzzles were challenging, but fair. The art style was quite beautiful, reminding me of the Maniac Mansion: Day of The Tentacle. And the music was good, adding to the story, making the experience more transportative. The length, well... it was short but sweet, but the price reflects that too. I hope Tom Simpson makes more of these! (Another hat tip to Captain Disaster @IndieGameNews1 on Twitter for pointing me to this great game!)
