Nightzoid

Nightzoid is a fairly basic Unity (probably asset flipped) first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. This looks like a bunch of really poor quality/free Unity assets, arranged haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if it's a real game, and this is so bad it's hard to qualify as a game at all. The game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality which fits with the idea they weren't developed by the game creator... they look like they're "just reasonable enough" to go on sale as part of an asset pack. The issue of asset flipping aside, ultimately the quality of these assets is low and low quality always makes for a less than optimal gaming experience. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. WARNING! DO NOT BUY! GAME CRASHES ALL THE TIME. WHEN THE GAME CRASHES, STEAM.EXE TOO! DEVELOPER HAS NO PLANS TO FIX THE ISSUE! Review is irrelevant at this point.. The task of even playing the game has become difficult due to bug making it crash. ___ The distortion effect seems a lost more aggressive than in the screen shots, makes it hard to read some of the writings / numbers that are needed for solving puzzles. The monsters collision box is massive and you cannot pass through him. This means if you go into a room without another exit and the monster comes behind you then you just have to let it slowly kill you. You are trapped in the bathroom and you cannot get out, you are trapped in the closet and you cannot escape. A cheap game over. Does not appear the monster can be stunned nor staggered. Player bubble of light is somewhat small. I'd even say the screenshots appear to have a wider light effect than when I played the game. Stupid achievements for completing each of the endings 5 times or collecting each key item 10 times. One of them wants you to beat the game 77 times. Is this game worth spending that much time in it? I tend to acquire a lot of spooky games despite them not really being my preference, this game is more annoying than spooky in that the threat in the game is relatively trivialized by just running away, which just makes it annoying when this game actually could've been just a real good environmentally spooky escape room type of game, tons of replayability with its multitude of endings, but the threat in the game is just a f-tier annoyance. It doesn't help that a lot of the achievements in the game really make sure you will not waste your time going for 100% because it requires you to essentially idle the game for like 1000 hours and get the same endings over and over and over. I'd say make the enemy optional and have never implemented those awful achievements, and this would be a pretty simple recommendation.
