Players appreciate the atmospheric horror setting and short length, though opinions diverge sharply on execution. Common complaints center on unclear puzzle logic and obtuse item interactions that require excessive trial-and-error backtracking, along with clunky mechanics like jumping and combat; some find it a tedious walking simulator while others enjoy it as a nostalgic early-2010s experience despite its dated presentation. The game seems to work best for players seeking atmospheric exploration over polished gameplay, particularly those looking for a budget purchase.
Bit hard to figure out some of the puzzles, though finding the blacksmith only took a short amount of time. I'm not finished with the game yet, but I love this game so far, despite its very dated aspects. Still very playable today, worth getting on sale.
this game will be my guilty pleasure, especially for nostalgia of early 2010s horror era, is it perfect? hell no... especially the jumping part is so clunky but it was very atmospheric game and UE3 looked great at that time, it just depends if you are into such kind of walking simulator games
Walking simulator. Running fast is unrealistic because not everyone's an athlete? I'd say that smacking someone right in the gob with a stone the size of two fists with a force that's enough to throw it 30-40 meters with the NPC barely staggered is *slightly* less realistic :(
Yeah let me make this clear, a walking simulator with a weird horror story which has the set of 2 sites of a book. You run arround and search for stuff with the most unclear use not use interaction i saw the last years. you find a screewdriver, nice what do you use it for? click on evrything while running back and forth, you found a key. so the key is for the blacksmith! sure i know how a blacksmith should look like. NO NO you dont know sht! The best part of the game is its opening. Cant recommend at all.
Literally one of the most boring games I've ever played and I TRIED to like it I really did. Why I had this on my wishlist for years I don't know. Oh wait I do remember now, WHERE'S THE BLACKSMITH?!
Enjoyable, short horror experience, about three hours long. The gameplay includes exploration, some simple puzzles, and optional hostile NPCs that you have to avoid. The plot was fairly simple but it worked. I had a good time with this.
