Death in the Night

"Death in the Night" is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, asset flippers and review manipulator, Dnovel/FreeAnimals. This guy does nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. This time it's a basic Cocos2D platformer template reskinned to make this look like a ripoff of Hollow Knight. There's simply no depths to which Dnovel will sink to mislead and scam gamers (I've reviewed dozens of his asset flips now). This isn't a proper metroidvania, it's just a very lame, basic platformer where you negotiate the level to reach the exit... there's only a handful of levels, and they're badly made, as usual everything is a rush job to push a minimum viable product out on Steam Direct and continue the asset flip scams. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirem…

GOT GAME USING STEAM KEY. -simple plat former with couple levels. mechanics are kinda wonky at first but you get used to them. its originally in Russian when you boot up so make sure to switch to English. - some pop up screens that don't really fit the setting or have any practical use I CAN SEE IT GOING PLACES GIVE IT A SHOT DON'T BUY AT FULL PRICE DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. No instruction, wonky controls, frustrating mechanics, confusing gameplay, and a plethora of other negative video game qualities... just fill in the blank.
