its such a whatever game, like I feel nothing after playing this. its not bad but I cant say I "recommend it". Legit just play NMH1 and skip out on the rest of them lol. says alot that my playtime is bloated because I was more interested in watching my friend play something else than engage with this (mostly) boring game. (Runs fine after the first hour being weirdly ♥♥♥♥♥)

As much as I want to be kinder to this game for clearly trying to be creative and different and not just more generic serious business realism, I cannot honestly say that I would personally Recommend it. Owing to pretty much the same complaints you'll find in the other negative reviews, it was simply too flawed in too many ways to enjoy. And since Steam limits you to the two options, I gotta give it the dreaded thumbs down. Like others said, the game world is pointless, lifeless, and empty. It's just an unnecessarily large canvas for very unfun minigames, annoying completion lists with insufficient completion tracking, and fights that DON'T EVEN HAPPEN IN THE WORLD ITSELF. You just teleport to generic battle arenas that usually don't even have a conceptual connection to their hub world. Boo to that. And on top of all that, if you want to be a completionist, some battles are locked behind completing other content first, with zero in-game indication you need to do other stuff first before they will semi-randomly appear at all. This game is the black sheep of the series if goichi suda had the time and money he deserved to truly make this a masterpiece he would've but unfortunately nintendo did not give this man enough support to truly realize his vision for the series this game is the most clear to see unfinished game in the series so many mechanics ideas and features that were changed and just not included or carried over from the previous 2 games the level of replayability to this game is nonexistent the level of writing atmosphere and even aesthetic is unique and different in its own way but does not hold the same charm or out of world ethereal like feeling of the first 2 games this games departure into nonstop pop culture references and nerd culture references was way more heavy and on the nose than it needed to be whereas the games before would be subtle and on the money without feeling forced this game had the perfect setup with its bosses cast only to be ruined by a choice to kill a majority of them off repeating a inside joke the first and second game had on there own but to the extent where it became disappointing and lackluster VANISHING POINT among others WOULDVE BEEN THE BEST BOSS FIGHT IN MY …

Pretty good game. Didn't play 1 or 2 but remember watching numerous speedruns and boss fights when I was in grammar school (Damn)

Its a cool game

This game has great style. I haven’t played the first games but still liked it. The combat and traversal feel janky. You spend more time fighting invisible walls than enemies. I still think it was worth playing just for the vibes.
