INTRODUCTION
"Takorita Meets Fries" is a visual novel which is telling about love for fries.
The game is short and "basically" voiceless, but full with fun animated characters.
Especially the merman "Mer", since he can't speak while he's on the land, most of his reaction would be animated body language.
It's not an otome game but there are scenes with a bit BL-ish, Yuri-ish, or romance nuance.
The game is made using Unity3D and Utage VN assets.
You can change the language within the Options menu.
STORY
In Tako Kingdom, deep under the sea, soup is an everyday, common meal.
Princess Takorita is deeply dissatisfied with this food culture and demands a new dish which can spice up her life.
She decides to go up to the land together with the merman "Mer" as her guard.
On the land, Princess Takorita meets the humans Dino and Ina.
The culture differences greatly surprise the princess.
Then, finally, she has her fated encounter with the "french fries".🍟🍟🍟
...Is that all?
No, that's not all! French fries might look simple, but there's more to it.
Princess Takorita continues her adventure to make the fries more and more tasty!
Her journey is far from over.
Even finding her long-lost grandfather is only a small part of her adventure.

Visual novel about an underwater princess who is bored of eating the same thing over and over and goes to land in a quest for new foodstuff. The story is pretty unique, and while unfortunately very short, packs a punch in that is quite funny and well developed. The story is largely linear, with a number of choices and variations along the way. I feel the ending could be improved upon, feels a little bit like a cliffhanger, and is underwhelming compared to the rest of the story. Artwork is chibi style, and has a hand drawn feel, and includes a few CGs to boot. Cute and has some animations, but may feel unpolished to some. Music is pretty nice but unfortunately no voice acting. Overall, a tad overpriced but a good read if looking for something quick, funny and different. 7/109 found this helpful

because the game hinted i should eat fries while playing at launch, this game really made me FEEL like takorita when she ate the fries (spoilers) truly the most immersive game ever, better than virtual reality there HAS to be a sequel i MUST know what kind of crazy fry hijinx will happen next what if takorita met... hamburger?????? that would be epic.
This is the best game ive ever played i dubbed it with my friends and oh my gosh oohhh my gosh i need more of takorita i love this game
