Bought the game because the "Four Horsemen", aka Ster/Jerma/Poke/Vinny played it last August. There's a lot of jank to this game that you have to get accustomed to, but it's one of my favorite streams of theirs, so felt compelled to add it to the library, support the dev.6 found this helpful
The game has potential but is not in the best state at the moment. The premise is fun and the addition of mobile phones makes it even better with friends, because these are real objects so a call from a friend can send every enemy in your direct just because your phone isn't on silent. The game itself is quite bare bones with a very small map (if you don't count the wilderness) and the small city there is, are just a couple of boxes with windows and doors. The character is also lacking with not bad, but also not good animations although the face customization is a fun detail. The enemies are the biggest downside of the game. While spiders are fine overall they don't have a difficulty curve and the game just throws every enemy in a large quantity at you from day one. A grace period with only light spider presence would have been nice so you can actually stock up on weapons, ammo, food etc. The spiders themselves also don't feel incredible well as they almost don't respond to dmg (like a stun or hurt animation) with also only having one attack over all the different versions. Lastly their base walk speed is the same as the players sprint speed which makes running away impossible sinc…
