Magitek VR

On of the best physics / gesture based VR games I have ever played. Definitely has some kinks to iron out, but what early access game doesn't? Worth a try.

This is perhaps one of my favourite VR games so far. There is a nice mix of exploration and adventure. There is a diversity of different puzzles in the adventure sequences that are clever, entertaining, and challenging. I wish that more VR games had this sort of adventure style. The mix of gesturing and button-pressing for the magic feels clean and natural. I found the fire magic to be the most useful and fun, and it had some new, interesting uses when used in tandem with earth magic. However, there are some oddities with the earth magic: with the boulder and wall spells, there is a good chance that whichever stone you are trying to summon will not arise. Also, with the boulder spell specifically, it is somewhat difficult to summon a big boulder. Further, when using telekinesis on boulders and the earth walls, I could move the earth around just fine but could not figure out how to move them closer or further from me. With my (albeit limited) use of the air magic, I could not get the hover hands spell to work. My difficulties with air magic carried over to the sandbox mode, but not with the water magic. I felt that the water magic was rather too well-developed to have been left …
