About Wraiths of SENTINEL
Harness the phenomenal abilities of an unliving wraith to preserve liberty—or to subvert it. Will you use your powers over quintessence to save your nation, or will you profit from its broken shell? You are a phantom being of supernatural energy, working as a covert intelligence operative for a secretive government agency. Your unrivalled powers of surveillance can safeguard the freedom of the country; your paranormal wraith abilities will make the difference between being hunter and prey.
Wraiths of SENTINEL is a 250,000-word interactive novel by Paul Gresty where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
You returned to existence as a near-amnesiac ghost, powerless to interact with the world around you, and burned by strange rains that threatened to end this new unlife. At last you encountered agents of the shadowy government intelligence agency SENTINEL, who could see and hear you; within this network you found others like yourself, a sense of community, safety—and a purpose.
The No-State Separatists are a ruthless band of domestic terrorists—but are they truly funded by legitimate politicians? Your preternatural powers of surveillance are required. Your investigation will delve into the realm of political corruption, draw you into the spirit world, and bring you to the nexus of all reality itself!
Who are the No-Staters' political and paranormal allies? And is the true threat to the nation much closer than you'd suspected
The fate of the nation—and of the universe—is in your ghostly hands!

I had fun, i am very happy i did not destroy the world lol i was scared of that happening as i did pretty well and did not want to restart yet again, but i felt really weak at the end there drained of all my powers. I think i did good all in all tho even if i failed to romance any characters and i missed some stuff. So i had fun but i did not like the skill system here, i constantly felt really weak the whole game. As much as i wanted to learn new skills i needed to focuse on two skills to avoid allot of bad things from happening and even then you get punished for being a nice guy making it even harder to not fail skill checks. I hope they do a sequal and that the skill checks are more forgiving in it so that you get to enjoy the powers you are supposed to have. All in all i would recommend this.4 found this helpful
So, take Fant4stic, replace the mutants with ghost-like creatures, mix a little woke mind virus and a whole lot of unhinged left-wing fever dreams of Trump and MAGA... And here we are. At least it is otherwise competently written and edited. I haven't quite finished yet. So, at the three hour point, I don't know how long a complete play through is. But I can only take so much of this eye-rolling cringe at a sitting. My recommendation is like when you taste something so awful you just have to convince your friends to experience it for themselves. But hey, there is no accounting for taste. If you have a raging case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, you'll love this game.2 found this helpful
First off, what a great picture on the game page. One of the best game covers I've seen for a CoG. So happy CJ Cregg went from press secretary to president! Bartlet would be proud. The game itself is a tad railroady. forget about just being a silent, scary wraith. You're a part of the goings on and you must commit to the big, tent-pole issues. Also this would have felt better if it was not set in the US, I can imagine how much more interesting/scary this could have been set in Singapore, or Columbia, or N. Korea. Teach me about not just the story but how somewhere other than the US would use these amazing spies. Minor things though. The story and powers, and cast are really fun. The choices are varied, it's a good length, and you do get to play the character you want. All amazing and enjoyable 8/102 found this helpful
This is where I would really like a "not sure" button. I've only played through the once but intend to use the special "save" system next time to avoid repeating the hard slog to get to the real choices - a lot of them don't seem to make much difference to the plot or my skillset. Its an interesting enough plot, but I felt it was padded out too much in places, simply to make the game longer. For the moment I don't have enough interest to do a second run through and make different choices. I did not find the MC or the other characters likeable enough to want to know more about them. 5/10 for now, but it may improve with different choices when I get around to playing again. Not good, but not bad either, and it lasts longer than a movie and its better than listening to rain on the roof.1 found this helpful
Good game and a terrifying one. Like always with the writer, the decision you make at the start of your adventure are not strong enough to change the story. But as the story pass those decision are easy to read and develop with your character. If your aren't afraid easily i recommend this game.
I was hesitant to buy this game. I was worried it would be some overly dramatic pulp fiction, but it was actually well written. Also the wraith lore was VERY reminiscent of Wraith the Oblivion, the game by White Wolf. There were other supernatural beings too that made me almost feel like I was in White Wolf's World of Darkness, though it wasn't quite as dark as a White Wolf story would be. But the thing that most impressed me was how the personality trait mechanics affected the story. As you make choices your personality traits automatically shift on different continuums like "community vs solitariness, or "inquiry vs privacy" and "honesty vs guile," etc. Where you fall on these scales actually shapes how well your choices are received by other characters. So sometimes I would be completely honest with a character but because I had not conducted myself in an honest way in my other choices (even ones that had nothing to do with who I was talking to) my honesty score wasn't especially high. That meant that honesty wasn't really something built into my integrity so often people just wouldn't hear the sincerity in my voice. My words wouldn't ring true and they'd just be suspicious…
