I discovered The Silent Age (the free version on mobile) when I was a kid, and the game completely fascinated me. Years later, after finally finishing it, I was left wanting to find another experience like it, but I never really found what I was looking for. Then Midnight Girl came along. I have to give credit to Italic for achieving something quite rare: taking several gameplay elements and the visual identity of The Silent Age, while improving them and adapting them to its own universe. In many ways, the two games really feel like sister games: they share a lot of elements, but Midnight Girl never really feels like playing The Silent Age. It's more the feeling of rediscovering a familiar formula, with ideas that have been transformed and improved. I loved both stories, but I have to admit that I prefer The Silent Age. Its time-travel mechanic, represented by the pendant, adds a dimension that Midnight Girl doesn't have. Being able to switch between two radically different eras with a single click isn't just a visual gimmick: it's at the heart of the puzzles. You have to constantly switch between eras and figure out how they can interact with each other to progress. Genius! That…

Super cool story! Just keeps evolving! I'm about half-way through and a really enjoying it. Also loving the aesthetics of the game! Haven't played point-and-click adventures since I was a kid, but now I'm thinking I have to check out this category some more.

This game really hits the sweet spot for point-n-click adventures, not overwhelming you with excess inventory items and copious back tracking. Easy to follow and pleasing to look at and engage with. And thank you for adding achievements!

I was a big fan of The Silent Age, so I had to give this a try. Really loved the art and the atmosphere. The story is pretty simple, the play time is fairly short, and the puzzles aren't mind-blowing. But being transported to a moody, lovingly-crafted 1960s Paris was great.

Very cute, short and very simple point and click. A little fedex-y, but on the bright side, no insane far-fetched combinations of items like some point and clicks have.
