About Kring

https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/2068030/extras/Kring3V2.gif

KRING is a wacky clicker-arcade-adventure game with over 10 different games inside.
CLICKER: basically, you have to click-click-click as much as possible, all the time, everywhere.
ARCADE: in the various sections, you'll play lots of different arcade mechanics (always with the clicker-game 'twist')
ADVENTURE: you'll go on an incredible adventure, raising the KRING army and then leading them against the Legendary Gods, to get your revenge!

https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/2068030/extras/ascension_devilmonument.gif

You'll play CLICKER, BULLET HELL, TOP-DOWN PLATFORM, SIDE-SCROLLER PLATFORM, SHOOT'EM UP., BEAT'EM UP ... and other games where it's really hard to define the genre!

Meet the developer's demon

.
When a video game is created, the smaller the development team, the easier it is to enter the "Identity," the soul of the developer.

Kring was made by one person, one Ivan Venturi, an old-but-very-experienced Italian game developer.

You play Kring and enter his Developer Identity: Dev.Id.
Dev.Id is the developer's demon that unlocks Cheat Mode, the alternative game mode.
To summon it you will have to type something in the main menu, but what?
Perhaps this demon has released a game, perhaps on Steam, and is waiting for the game name to catch up with it.

Learn about Random Design

Kring was built piece by piece without following any initial blueprints or designs, and every part of the game was made following what was going through the head of an old guy who has been making games for a while.
Crazy, psychedelic mini-games and off-the-wall game design.
Read the instructions eh, be sure to read them!

Minigames

9 Minigames on Kring and 4 minigames in Limbo (for now!).
Whether it's slaughtering Kring in the dimensional tunnel or going into Limbo to shoot flowery bullets at Gnarzl, all it will take is the clicks of your mouse to shake the universe ( very low magnitude, you're a lame god after all )

Breed the Kring

.
As a loser god you are condemned to care for these...particularly unintelligent creatures.
Raise, Feed and Protect the Kring breeds to unlock the next ones (there are 9, will you be able to unlock them all??)

https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/2068030/extras/protect_zrortrirx.gif

Give it to the SuperLegendary MegaGods

.
The Cool Gods have insulted and mocked you for too long, show them who the real SuperFool God is!

Embark your BRAVE (...) Krings in the Tartarch and guide them into deep space, the portal planet, the dimensional tunnel and many other places as absurd as they are dangerous.
Who knows, if you can get them to the end of the journey, maybe you will have a way to get revenge on the MegaGods.

Pros: The game provoked some reminiscinence of the Atari game eras where uis and designs were still heavily innovative. As a piece of expressive art, it is maybe defendable. Cons: As a game, it is maybe the worst piece of crap I played this year. Gameplay is forced on you, it gives headaches and every single aspects of the game are bad. Advices: If you want to stay on the artsy psychedelic side of things, it's all good, but do not break people balls with arbitrary gameplay mechanics and things that aggressively attack optical nerves then

You know that a game hits the spot when you both hate and love the protagonist(s). Yes, the Krings are effing stupid. But you grow also affectionate to them and you want them to eventually overcome the gods. A short action-packed psychedelic game that will challenge your mouse but will win your heart.

Usually this is not the kind of game I would go for but I liked just how different this game is from most of the games out there right now. Its gameplay reminded me of older games where you just have to click like crazy, but there still a strategy behind all the clicking while the art style is quite unique, which make it worth trying it out.

One of the standout aspects of Kring is its ability to constantly surprise and engage players with its imaginative design. Each level feels like a step into the unknown, with its unique mechanics and visually stunning environments that keep you hooked and curious about what lies ahead. The art style is particularly striking, blending surrealism with vibrant, dreamlike colors that make every scene feel like a painting come to life. However, while the creativity and ambition of Kring are undeniable, the game’s storytelling can be a hurdle. The narrative often leans heavily on text, and while this adds depth to the world, it can feel overwhelming and even tedious at times, especially when it disrupts the flow of gameplay. Some sections might leave players scratching their heads, as the abstract nature of the story isn’t always easy to follow. For those who prefer a more traditional or straightforward structure, this could be a challenge. That said, Kring isn’t a game for everyone, it’s for those who enjoy diving into an artistic, experimental experience that pushes the boundaries of conventional gaming. If you have the patience to unravel its intricacies, Kring offers a rewarding jo…

This game is definitely bizarre—I didn’t think I’d end up liking it at first, but it really pulled me in once I realized it was pushing me to explore in some pretty unconventional ways. That said, I wasn’t a fan of the constant flickering lights (seriously, they’re everywhere). The moment I found the "flickeryness" option in the settings, I turned it down. But honestly, the overall aesthetic is super unique and really adds to the whole weird, trippy vibe the game is going for. It’s strange in all the right ways! I was also able to use my favourite superpower in these kind of games: an autoclicker. Looks like some eldritch gods have more powers than others, oops!
