Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered

GREAT Remaster, but AWFUL GAME! I forgot what a total piece of crap this was. I start a game and I look around. There's no dinosaurs?! What!? I played for about 20 minutes, I ended up dying on a failed jump and I had to do the whole level over. I decided NAH, this is game is PURE garbage and shouldn't be called Turok. Don't bother with Turok 3, it's far far worse than the other 2. BUT if you are going to force yourself to play, make sure you turn off the V-sync, for some reason it made my game run like ♥♥♥♥. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!

As someone who really enjoys the Turok series with Turok 2 being king, this was a decent Turok game. It really is the weakest of the series, but Nightdive did a good job remastering the game to make it enjoyable on modern systems and controls. The game is rather short because you are supposed to beat the game with both playable characters and each one has some alternate routes and weapons to mix up gameplay. There are also 2 more bonus characters that you unlock after beating the game with Joseph and Danielle. I had fun with this game, but would recommend grabbing on sale. Also make sure to turn off auto aim if you are playing on keyboard and mouse.

I genuinely don't think this game is bad, in fact I'd say it's a solid 7/10, It's just the price point. This game is super super short even compared to the first game, 3 1/2 hours is all it took for me to beat this game, and they want $30? Ridiculous. I got it on sale for $10 (I think) and even then I can barely recommend it for that price. Good remaster and game but horrible price. Wait till it's on sale

I started this the other night and three hours later, the credits rolled. And that’s even with me accidentally choosing restart chapter instead of level. It’s a decent enough game. It was fun. Story & characters, whatever. 6/10 STARS

Back in the year 2000 on the ageing N64 this might have been a bit of an overly ambitious disappointment. However today, the lean (4 hour long) campaign with adorable attempts at scripted events is a decent way to spend an afternoon. Game being playable with M+K (like every fps should), at good framerate, and in widescreen makes it go down so much easier. Is it an all time classic? No and it's probably the weakest entry in the trilogy. It is also the easiest to recommend, due to short length and way more straightforward levels.
