In short, it's an episode of The Twilight Zone directed by Stanley Kubrick. Worth playing for the visual style alone, but you should wait for a sale; it's ~36 minutes long and a one-and-done type experience.3 found this helpful
Buy on sale! They Look Like People is a walking sim, and a post-modernist riff on existentialist sci-fi fiction among the likes of 2001, Prometheus, and the more philosophical side of Star Trek. TLLP trades out the fear of the future found in the genre for the millenial's greatest fear: 'What if all the great things to do have been done? What becomes of an exceptionalist society if noone is truly exceptional? What if my dad's cooler than me as I am now or ever will be?' The games direction is really NICE and its a NICE little snack to play if you're looking to kill an hour or so. The game takes 30 minutes to play but I had not one, not two, but THREE crashes over my course of play. But that's more the fault of the piss poor unreal engine unable to handle lighting effects. Pretty cool, kinda boring as well. There are a few bugs including doors not opening properly all the time. This is a school project and it does a good job and the price is low. Also quite experimental and minimal.1 found this helpful
buggy, ending cuts off too fast, and you can't jump or move the boxes too well. i still liked it
Subtle as a brick in the small of the back
Neat low poly walking sim with an interesting narrative - the only thing that really stops this from being better than it could is the voice acting, its passable but not good.
