About Take No Prisoners
BLITZ OUT, FOR THE LADS
You are Slade. Before the nuclear war, Special Ops commando. Now, survivor. Killing had never been your first initiative, but you were good at it... very good. And your time for killing has begun.
The road to salvation, to the Dome, is littered with the corpses of those who sought its life-giving secrets. But no one person has the technology to breach the Done. Each Zoner group has a piece of the answer. All you have to do is separate them from the information that they hold. Time to kill, or be killed.
Top Down Mayhem:
A greater field of vision allows you to implement more sophisticated attack and defense strategies. Multiplane levels surround you with enemy targets in 3D, so now you can pick off enemies both above and below you.
Non-linear territories:
There’s many different paths to victory, so rage anywhere you want within 20 freak-filled indoor and outdoor territories. Take’em on one by one or explore ahead before completing previous levels.
More enemies. Smarter Enemies:
Mutants, Mechs, Humans, Sub-Humans, Freaks, Preppies, Grunts - all with advanced AI that gives them extremely tough, individualized combat behavior.
Massive Firepower:
Disembowel with a Tachyon Cannon, light’em up with a Molotov, or cauterize with a Laser Rifle. With 21 weapons, 22 combat items, and multiple vehicles you can punish anything and everything in sight.

Classic. I've pirated it in 97' when I was poor. Now I can make things right. Sorry Raven Software, your game was very cool.10 found this helpful
This game is incredible and probably one of the best games ever made, unfortunately I can't recommend this release since it has missing features and introduces new bugs, I will be getting a refund sadly. It stutters when the zone music restarts. TCP/IP multiplayer mode has been removed, I will be asking for a refund since it has missing features, physical copy released 20 years ago has working tcp/ip multiplayer and this one doesnt, lols.3 found this helpful
This is a very cool game, super reminiscent of the 90's it's from. It runs much smoother than I remember it doing, and aside from wishing I could use more graphics options, it runs super smoothly on my Windows 10 computer. In short, you are some military Buff Guy in a post apocalyptic distant future of like, 10 years ago. The world has gone to crap, and there is a high-tech biodome that has stable atmosphere and stuff in it that isn't suffering from radioactive fallout, or at least as bad as the outside. You get 'hired' by a military company to go looking around for ways to get in, and once you are in, to steal a crystal that probably makes the whole thing work, so that they can make their own bio-dome with YOU in it this time, that is probably nicer than the criminally filled one that is currently there or something. It is a top-down shooter, there is a fun weapon selection and the items are all neat. The controls take some getting used to but I believe you can remap whatever you like. Also disregard my playtime, I had been playing this game for a long time before it came to Steam. I hope you enjoy this, it certainly deserves some more attention!2 found this helpful
Supposedly there is some way to play this if you get your key mapping 100% perfect. Failing that, you probably won't leave the first building.1 found this helpful
Take No Prisoners is one of those forgotten PC titles that feels remarkably ambitious when viewed through a modern lens. Originally released during an era dominated by first-person shooters, the game instead embraced a top-down perspective and built an expansive post-apocalyptic adventure around it. Developed by Raven Software and published by SNEG in its modern Steam release, the game transports players to a devastated future where civilization has been reduced to isolated factions fighting for survival. You step into the boots of Slade, a battle-hardened mercenary hired to retrieve a mysterious crystal hidden within a heavily protected structure known as the Dome. What begins as a simple contract soon unfolds into a larger journey through a ruined world filled with danger, secrets, and competing interests. The game's greatest strength lies in its commitment to exploration. Rather than moving players from one linear level to another, Take No Prisoners offers an interconnected world comprised of numerous locations that can be revisited as new equipment and information become available. This structure gives the experience a sense of scale that was uncommon in 1997. Players are enco…
