About Raw Metal

Raw Metal is a sci-fi stealth-action dungeon crawler with a focus on smooth, stylish gameplay.

You are a lone scavenger on the distant, barren exoplanet Charybdis. In search of gear and supplies, you infiltrate the depths of Katabase 6, a massive mining facility run by a corrupt megacorporation known as Orpheus Tech. Sneak through the mines undetected, cleverly utilizing various gadgets and equipment to your advantage, but beware; if you're caught, you'll need to rely on your combat skills for a fighting chance to escape.

High-Stakes Stealth

Use taser darts, noisemakers, improvised concussion grenades, and anything else you can find to slip past and isolate guards. The shadows are your domain; manipulate your environment and your enemies well enough and they'll never see you coming.

Breakneck Combat

Whether it is initiated through a clever ambush or a stealth slip-up, a fight can range from a calculated risk to a desperate struggle for survival. Combat in Raw Metal is fast and punishing; the guards stationed at Katabase 6 are stronger and more heavily armored than you, so you'll need to fight dirty to come out on top. Be aggressive, relentless, and resourceful. Take every advantage you can get your hands on. Honor is for the weak.

Extensive Equipment

Customize your look and playstyle with a variety of upgradeable gear pieces that shake up the gameplay and give you an edge in sketchy situations. Create the ultimate stealth build, armor up and tear through your enemies, or modify the behavior of gadgets and attacks to lean into a specific strategy. Be careful, losing a fight gets your gear confiscated and sent to a secure location; you'll need to weigh the certainty of extracting with the gear you have against the reward of pushing deeper for better loot.

Brutal Boss Fights

Three unique bosses stand in your way, and will put you in your place if you're ill-prepared to face them. Master combos, avoid deadly attack chains, and watch your opponent closely for openings and weaknesses to get the upper hand. Investing in a solid kit of gear and gadgets will come in clutch against these formidable adversaries, but be sure to practice in the Boss Training mode before challenging them for real and risking it all.

This game is sick! I think it's my favourite video game of all time! It should be available on both the App store and Nintendo Switch!

Just beat the last boss and... In short, it's a hard game to "recommend". I kind of liked it but I don't think I'd recommend it to a friend. It's probably one of these games where the devs got so good at their own game that they couldn't make a compelling and engaging difficulty curve anymore. The normal levels are alright and definitely the highlight of the game. The mechanics evolve and new enemies gets introduced as you get deeper making the balance between infiltration and combat pretty fun. Though I found the weight limit pretty harsh when focusing on gathering loot so I just kept using the gear which increased weight limit. The bosses on the other hand are just painful. Not only is the difficulty of each boss far above what the game has constantly made you face until then. The runback to a boss on "default" difficulty is insanely punishing. The boss gameplay just doesn't line up with the rest of the game. And of course, all bosses are insanely weak to cheese tactics (aka farming and spamming taser) which makes you engage even less with them. My tactic ended up completely forgoing gear and just repeatedly fighting the same boss over and over naked when I wanted to defeat th…

Guard, to himself: "...How bout, 'Put your dukes up, scrapheap!'...naah, too long." Same guard mid-fight: "Put your dukes up, scrapheap!"

An extremely fun and stylish game that gives you an experience like no other. It has an easy to follow story whilst still leaving you with a good amount of intrigue (and hope that there will be more from this team and/or project). The art direction is impeccable, I've never felt so awesome playing a game. It's as if concept art came to life, everything about it felt so... artistic, in the best way possible, as if many frames could be a drawing; but, no, they move! Amazing mix of stylized art and a nice usage of atmosphere with the cel shading. Voice acting is smooth, very casual and human without it being boring or overdramatic, setting the tone perfectly. I'm glad I wasn't alone in being reminded of Red Vs. Blue's humour and overall feeling of "wait, what?" between the seriousness and the comedy. It's a game that does a great job of balancing nervewracking, tense moments and making you let out a laugh. There's many builds or cosmetics you can mess with to totally change up your playstyle. Despite the game being difficult, the tweaks for accessibility-- such as the multiple difficulty settings between the enemies and the balancing-- made it just as fun as if you played it without c…
