Wreckage

It's super raw but I had fun playing this. I'd say the main thing I dislike is that I feel like I HAVE to cheese the boss or I die. One throw explosive barrels trough walls and another is a truck with incredible impact damage but you can't ever get on his as* because he turn like a NASCAR car. I liked everything else about it. Edit : I retract what I said about having to cheese the boss. If you time your shield well you can totally win these fights without cheesing.

I wasn't expecting much after seeing "early access alpha" on store page, but it turned to be quite a fun game. It's a bit hardcore: you can die in a couple of seconds because of the mistake. Enemy can die fast too. This implies more careful and tactical thinking BUT in a fast-paced environment. Which is very cool, reminded me of good times of Quake 3 - hard at the beginning, but you get hang of it pretty fast and it transforms in a lot of fun packed in a little time. And of course the many references to Twisted Metal 2 are extremely heartwarming. Even the button codes on loading screen are there, lol. What was an interesting surprise is that there are global events on the map. Like you start at the warehouse, but you figure out that it a big elevator which arrives to the ship deck, expanding the arena, and then after a while this ship crashes into shore, expanding the arena again. Crazy. Also, the Steam Store page doesn't do the game justice: the last update was 5 months ago, and the previous one was in 2025, which kinda leaves the impression that it almost abandoned. But it's actually not: in Discord, there are monthly and even daily updates on development, which is pretty cool.…

Very fun! Excited for more updates, especially the Roguelite co-op mode for 4 players. An option ingame would be nice to swap controls as well which I think is coming in the roadmap. I switched most of the controls using Steam Input and the game feels a lot better and I think my friends will understand it a lot better. I put boost on L Trigger, Rockets on X, Handbrake on B to drift / turn. Shield is on Y and Jump is on A. This overall feels more modern and easy to play. A lot of other controls I just removed for now. The freeze and mines need a limit or cooldown otherwise you can just spam them which does not make for fun gameplay so I disabled their input for now.
