Wreckfest 2

I REALLY wanted to like this game as I loved the first one... but there's something off about it. The first one felt fun with lots of stuff around the track to destroy - Wreckfest 2 feels serious instead of fun, like thier focus this time was realisim instead of leaning i to the fun side with cool tracks etc

A worthy sequel to the original. The physics are great and the races are unpredictable which makes it a LOT of fun to play.

I bought the game the day it came out because I loved WF1, knew I'd buy it anyway, so wanted to save myself 50% of the purchase price. I knew it would be very bare bones and pretty rough, which it was. Since then it's improved immeasurably, there's been an update roughly every 2-3 months which adds a few cars, some new tracks and layouts for previously released tracks. In other words, it's getting there, slower than I'd like for sure, but each update improves the game, and already have 2 modes that weren't in the original, suicide racing, that has half the field going one way and the other half the opposite way, and point to point racing. Personally I think this has the potential to be one of the best racing games available WHEN IT'S FINISHED. I find some of the complaints on here laughable, comparing an unfinished early access game to one that has been released and had 2 DLCs is ridiculous. And others complaining that some servers are clean racing and giving the game a bad review for that, it's not hard to find servers that aren't clearly called 'clean racing'. those clean racing servers exist because, despite it's name, it's a great racing game in it's own right and some just wan…

This game is too hard.

Wreckfest 2 is a damn fun racing game—if you actually understand the concept that its name and mechanics are clearly advertising: race and wreck. What really frustrates me is how that concept clashes with many multiplayer servers, where you can get kicked or banned simply for playing the game the way it was designed to be played: crashing into people and causing chaos. Apparently, the current generation of “clean racing” enthusiasts wants to turn Wreckfest into a serious racing simulator. If you want clean races, go play Forza. To me, Wreckfest 2 is a formidable successor to games like MotorStorm. It has that same chaotic, aggressive, over-the-top racing spirit, and that's exactly what makes it fun. It just needs more multiplayer servers filled with people who actually have the balls to wreck.

Game runs and looks amazing, it's a ton of fun like the first game. I can't wait for more content to come.
