Post Apocalyptic Mayhem

[h1] [b]Motorstom but with more deadly cars[/b] Racing game that is mostly ok but there're some major flaws behind the gears... General idea is that you pick killing machine of your choice and smash opponents using weapons. Two things are taking into consideration: number of kills and number of laps, combined they give you score. There's no campaign, everything is unlocked from start. Two available modes are: arcade and apocalyptic challenge where you compete for points. Most of time you wanna pick second option as it gives you opportunity to drive on every track (essentially tournament). Gameplay is mostly hit or get killed. One hit in most cases means death so health could've been higher because during race you die a lot and respawn even more. Next thing - racing, controls are tight not too slippery but tight enough so you can feel the car when turning or accelerating but the problem is moon like physics which send you flying like a leaf on the windy day. 7 tracks and 12 cars to choose from each equipped with devastating weapons. Main crown of the game are crazy vehicles offering 3 deadly weapons: back, side and front. To use them pick barrels with specific color during race. Ge…

It's similar to Twisted Metal or Rogue Trip, with some nice vehicle designs, and I have to give props to the developers though for letting players turn off bloom and blur. However with no characters, no story, uninteresting weapons, poor physics, and race-tracks for levels despite there being no point in racing at all (only kill count matters), I just don't see any reason to play this over the classics.

PAM? Like a sweet old lady? Which is how you have to drive in this game to keep in pace with the other vehicles because scoring is centred around kills. It's a fun novelty which soon falls flat once you work out every vehicle has near identical moves. Front attack, side attack and a mine attack, all of which can one shot.

All the vehicles feel/play unique. And the game has that beautiful early 2000s grit. Totally recommended for a pickup arcade. I am surprised I was able to get into an online match too. Online is more alive than I expected.

Decent racing only because of the pure chaos that ensues.
