About Talented

✦ AI summary

Talented is an arcade roguelite shoot 'em up where you survive 20 nights in a demonic dungeon by crafting unique builds from over 500 randomly generated talents and abilities. Master six distinct classes with their own playstyles, each offering endless customization through class-specific traits, challenges, and the freedom to obliterate demons with arrows, spells, potions, or an army of snails.

When Ed accepted the challenge of surviving exactly 20 days and 20 nights in The Demonic Conveyor Belt (D.C.B), he thought his Elite Mastery Professor had been exaggerating that it was 'the most feared dungeon of all'. This thought quickly disappeared into the fog surrounding him, when he passed through the gates of the dungeon to find the largest eyeball he'd ever seen. Would he forever remain just Ed, or could he become Talent Ed?

✦ AI summary

Talented receives mixed feedback from players, with some praising its responsive combat, engaging progression loop, and varied build experimentation, while others feel disappointed by what they describe as a superficial skill tree system that appears complex but relies on simple stat increases, combined with limited meta progression options that create repetitiveness. The core gameplay loop of action and character customization resonates with fans, though detractors argue the depth doesn't match the initial hype and suggest the game would be better suited as a free-to-play mobile title.

im so dissapointed with this title. and mostly because of the hype around it. everyone who played (especially here in reviews) been praising "deep and complicated" progresion skill tree. while in reality its just random generated skill tree that use simple system of like 1 legendary skills. few elite skills and few common skills. everything else just simple +% to you dmg, crit, hp etc. so even thought this tree look on first glacne huge. its actually pretty primitive old system. and worst is meta progression. meta progression exist mostly from like 8 skills. from which you can pick only 4. and some perks. thats it. so this game become pretty repetative after you unlocked all characters (i unlocked 70% of characters in 2 hours). on mobile this game would be free with ads. so the only plus of this game - no ads. and pretty cheap. but i can name you like 10 games (from the top of my head) on mobile that would be much more content feeled. in same genre. and cost even less or free.

A well structured blend of action, progression, and character customization creates a gameplay loop that remains engaging across repeated runs. Combat feels responsive, with a steady stream of enemies encouraging careful positioning, resource management, and build planning. Each session presents opportunities to experiment with new combinations, making progression feel varied rather than repetitive. The skill system serves as a strong foundation for long term replayability. A wide selection of upgrades allows different approaches to emerge naturally, whether focused on offense, defense, utility, or balanced development. Choices carry meaningful weight, creating distinct builds that can alter the flow of a run and encourage further experimentation. Progression maintains a consistent pace, with regular rewards supporting a sense of advancement. Unlocks and upgrades provide clear goals without overwhelming the overall structure. Difficulty scaling adds tension while preserving fairness, rewarding preparation, adaptability, and thoughtful decision making rather than relying on luck alone. Presentation and interface design support the gameplay well through clear visual communication …
