Players praise this RPGMaker game for its genuinely compelling story with well-developed characters that feel emotionally weighty, particularly once it hits its stride in Chapter 2 and maintains strong pacing throughout without filler. The handcrafted art style shows clear developer passion rather than relying on stock assets, and the narrative balances tone naturally without trying too hard to be either serious or funny, with an intriguing world that leaves players wanting to know more.
This was actually a pretty fun game. I spent just about 18 hours with it. Spent some time searching for the two hidden items I was tipped off about. The characters are fun. and you can really feel the weight of at least 3 of the characters struggles. Once the game picked up in Chapter 2. It never felt like it slowed down. it kept a good pace, and nothing in the story line ever felt that it was put in to just waste time or fill in time. It didn't feel like it tried too hard to be serious or to be funny. It simply was what it was. The world that was built seemed interesting and I really want to know more about the mysterious characters. Considering the game was made in RPGMaker. The art style clearly didn't rely only on stock assists and had a strong touch of the developer in it. The music was fitting. It might have been the best part of the game. It looks like the Dev has already announced the next game in this series, which I'm curious to see where this goes as the ending left us on a cliff hanger. Even though it was a cliff hanger. I liked that it wasn't a happy ending, nor a sad ending. Though I gasped when one of the characters seemingly fell off a cliff. I'd recommend the ga…5 found this helpful
Pretty good game. Story: This one actually has a story, and a good one. Opolo is a land, where Vitas are enslaved. The main character Nayla lived that life, and one day manages to escape. Along the way. her goal was a simple one. To free the others, and to live a life. The characters each have their motivations and backgrounds. One lost their voice from abuse, another is a former slave by reluctance. Who witnessed his father killed his mother, and who was forced to beat and watch his best friend died. The last is a medic, who was forced to heal the higher class and watch the lower ones die. Together, they form a bit of a ragtag team, but do grow close to view each other like family. This game really does not slow down. It steadily gets more intense, all the way to the final battle. Which is a cliffhanger for the sequel. System: While it uses the rpgmaker built in, some things have been thought through. Such as turn manipulation, ailments and so forth. It ain't bad, and does have a wheel that reminds me of Shadow Hearts, Art Style: The art style is pretty good, it is a unique set of characters. Which one of them, the medic. Actually looks like Harry Potter with green hair lo…1 found this helpful
