Operation Night Strikers

There is no way to disable the auto-centering in Night Striker, essentially making the game unplayable on a regular gamepad. If you have a compatible flight stick, you're good to go. For the rest of us: what on earth were you thinking, M2??? You already had the option to disable auto-centering in your Space Harrier release. In fact, it's disabled by default for the d-pad controls. Really confused and disappointed. I'll buy it again if they patch in the ability to disable auto-center, but unfortunately it seems like there's basically no chance of that actually happening at this point.

HIGHLY recommended to experience the excellence of Night Striker + have some extra fun with the gun shooters (I personally recommend Space Gun out of the three). The analog control is more accurate than in current MAME, the gadgets help a lot regarding learning info on stuff like enemy counts or health, and the extra music included is some of the best in recent years from Taito Sound Team Zuntata. You'll get a greater deal off of this than Night Striker Gear, trust me.

Couldn't get the mouse working for Spacegun - Product feels rushed and unpolished. It's a shame since I love those games as a kid.

Except if you want to play with a xbox controller (not recommended, but why not ?) I strictly not recommend to buy the game. Du to native Switch programmation the game is unplayable if you have some external devices like lightgun or joystick cause yo uwill have several conflicts.. So bad cause the emulation and the features of the game are very nice. Wish to play it with my lightgun/flystick. This is a copy of what i send to the dev team : Controls are so buggy, deadzone on the right side on my Logitech Extreme 3D pro, nightmare to remap the controls on it. Impossible to select a game on my first PC win 11. The selection just got stuck on the menu (idk, maybe cause i have a driver for my GunCon3 ?). Need to go to my win10 second PC, need to tweaks with steam inputs to play one time with my flystick, and another time with the mouse (the cursor just moving by itself...). No possibilities for lightguns... Really disappointed. The games are great (leaderboards, surround, arranged ost..) but it's just unplayable du to the switch version port to PC (i think this is why it causes so much issues with the controls). I hope it will be fixed in the future, but i just can't keep the game in …

I wish I could give a "meh" rating as I'm very on the fence on this collection. I love Op Wolf, Op Thunderbolt although Space Gun was always a mediocre effort, in my opinion. Night Striker is just a mess of a game, similar to Thunderblade or Space Harrier, but without the initial "wow" factor these arcade games provided. There are not enough graphic options either, in fact none, as I am aware, however they all play very well without any hiccups. The controls are horrendous too, however you can use the mouse on Desktops, which I have, but I cannot imagine playing on Steamdeck or even joypad. Achievements are a nice addition, but some very, very easy to the, quite frankly, absurd. Just over 20 quid for 4 games you could get on MAME for zero money, and a lot more options, is a far too steep. After all is said and done, I can finally play Op Wolf on Steam as opposed to the "updated" version, which was very dull in comparison. Buy it at a future low sale price. Even the current price is a little high at sale. Thumbs up for nostalgia! Thumbs down for lazily cashing in.

[h1]Lazy, sloppy port[/h1] So, you can aim with the mouse in-game, but you can't use it in the options or menus? Instead, you have to navigate with the arrow keys and weird key bindings that you can't even remap? Developers: If you can't be bothered to make a proper PC port, just don't do it. Releasing this as a PC version is just crappy. Refunded.
