✦ AI summary

Players enjoy this affordable defense roguelike for its satisfying progression loop and weapon variety, with the meta progression system allowing progress even after losses. However, significant complaints center on poor UI and lack of transparency—critical stats like damage, fire rate, and enemy health aren't displayed, forcing players to guess or enable a feature that causes performance issues—combined with slow pacing even at max speed and repetitive gameplay that requires many restarts before achieving a win.

its a fun defense game buy items, get skills, then alt tab until you collect more cash and skill points although you might miss out on a good shop item like this, those change every minute

It is what it is, and what it is, is numbers go up, ya know. Meh. 5/10.

A fun game for $2. If it looks like you'd enjoy it, then I recommend it. However, the game has significant obscurity issues with information that should be easy to find in a roguelike. Fire rate, damage, reload speed, enemy health, damage range, total crit chance, crit damage, weapon range, good luck. These numbers are not shown to you, so you have to figure it out or guess. Ammo capacity is only shown once you equip a weapon. The only way to see damage is to turn on the option to show damage numbers when hitting enemies, but this makes it to where you can only play the game at normal speed. Speeding up while having damage numbers will cause the game to stutter and stop. I enjoy the expansion, but don't enjoy the new weapons being treated like guns, but just calling everything different names and forcing new items and skills, thus lowering the overall chance of getting what you need. Ammo? Nah, max mana. Reload speed? Nah, mana regeneration. Kind of lame. The spells themselves are cool though.

Poor UI structure, and it has an unsatisfying gameplay loop that requires you to restart a TON of times before being able to get even one win. But arguably, all of that pales against how slow and boring it is during the actual matches, even on top speed.

A bit of repetitive but it's kind of fun once you figure what to do

It's a very enjoyable game fixed with numerous weapons and skills. It's meta progression so even if you lose, you can still come back for a win. Everything seems to be balanced out, just needs a little more flesh and flash. It's not boring by any means, but some people might be thrown off by the dreary pixelation. Just doesn't seem to have a lot of things going on in the background or needs to be more colorful, so staring fatigue sets in after a couple of games. (Again, not boring.) Please give it a try. It's 2 bucks! The negative reviews are not warranted and those people with the gripes should give a refreshed review. I'm just sad to see the interest go to basically nothing, most likely because of the mixed reviews and I hate that for a game that's still being worked on.
