Kovoclak

Kovoclak is not a game. It’s more a psychedelic experience wrapped in hand-drawn art and surreal tone. At first, it gave off a bit of a “playable art project” vibe, but it actually plays like a pretty solid 2D platformer with a unique twist: instead of weapons, you interact with the world using sounds. Basically, you’re given a boombox that lets you play different audio frequencies, each triggering different effects (like waking up NPCs or shifting parts of the environment). It’s a cool mechanic I haven’t really seen elsewhere, but it’s a bit tricky to use at first and takes some trial and error to figure out what works. The platforming itself is fairly basic, but the game leans more into exploration and experimentation anyway. It’s less about reflexes and more about pacing, curiosity, and engaging with the world’s odd logic. The meat and potatoes of the game actually lies in the dialogues, which are just absurd and hilarious. Visually, it has this raw, sketchy charm that fits the offbeat tone. Some of the humor and themes are a little on the nose (modern society, tech addiction, etc.), but the game doesn’t take itself too seriously, so it never feels preachy. If you're into…

This game is a fully immersive experience into a dystopia/weird universe where everything is handcrafted with a lot of attention to details. Musics and sound design are top quality, the graphics and animations give you a vintage feel with a "where the wild things are" vibe. If you like to deep dive into a game universe you will get much more than what you expect for the price. It's such an underrated gem ATM, you must play it!

Haha no but seriously, this game is something else. Maybe not gonna be everyone’s thing, but so cool.

This game reminds me of old classic Nickelodeon cartoons from my childhood. Especially this project "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters!" which was created by Gabor Csupo and his talented team of artists. Dark and creepy atmosphere while playing a game project Kovoclak. Inetersting social topic during the game. Hard enemy attacks and mystery characters around every corner of the main location. Surrealism lives here and I like it. It's a really exciting dark game.
