About Stoplights
Stoplights is all about management, planning and efficiency. Your goal is to establish cities near resources, connect them together with rails and manage automatic train routes by placing traffic lights. The needs of a city grow with time, so expect your rail network to be stress tested in an increasingly complex network of intermingling trains. Inefficient routes, misplaced signals or lots of time spent waiting at a junction will be the difference between success and failure.
CORE MECHANICS
- Build cities, rails, and train signals
- Manage traffic by dividing long rails into shorter segments via signals
- Indirectly control automatic train routes, which seek out nearest viable and unobstructed resources in connected cities
- Win by reaching the last day without any city running out of demanded resources
- Play at your own pace - pause or fast forward the simulation at will
MORE INFO
- Includes tutorial videos to help grasp the game mechanics
- Features a selection of hand crafted maps, with semi-random resource placements each time
- Map scenarios are hand-crafted with pseudo-random outcomes to ensure fairness and balance, but also repeatability
- 12 difficulty settings to play around with, which influence score multiplier and replay value
- Language-independent game, meaning there is virtually no text during gameplay (except for a few settings)
- Difficulty-influenced leaderboards
- Trains can collide with each other

this is a veary frustrating game due to the limitations you are forced to play with when it comes to the signaling for example a classic y intersection with 3 separate blocks is imposable and ends up as just 1 solid block that can only hold 1 train even if the other 2 rails are free and clear there is also no advanced signaling to allow trains to use any free tracks if theres more then 1 path threw a block which makes roundabouts useless as the exits will get blocked under heavy loads aswell as almost every other kind of intersection suffers greatly from this also trains will at random ignore signals and cause crashes with other trains ive noticed this the most at max game speed so likely a bug? in any event i cant recommend this game in its current state if the devs ever fix the above issues then maybe2 found this helpful
This is a good game. It looks really simple because it is really simple, but I promise this game will put you through your paces. Unfortunately the developers of this game have made the baffling choice to make it 100% accessible to the deaf and illiterate, and thus its mechanics are explained exclusively through short illustrative videos with no voice over. If you do not watch these demonstration attentively, you will misunderstand how signals works and build an inefficient network. I must also warn you that this game can be frustrating. At the beginning of a game, you don't have the resources to build an ideally efficient network and in the late game, your network is too populated with trains to be effectively reworked. I defend this because it is a faithful reproduction of the real world phenomena that lead to suboptimal infrastructure. I do, however, think that signals are too expensive relative to delivery payouts in a way that is overly restrictive in the initial stages of a game. There will also be times when the combination of random map generation and random city delivery requirements will completely screw you over in the early game - but once a game gets going, you u…
Played Factorio till a point where i enjoyed creating more and more complex train networks most. I thought there has to be some game that basically does all the train without the rest of factorio around it and this game was exactly what i was looking for. The only thing i am missing is kind of a open ended super large map.
really really fun, wish there was more content.
The game is stable and fine, but for me it's not interesting enough. I just give a thumbs up to support the indie developer.
really nice cozy game, was quite fun, however, it was not very long.
