I expected like a cute lil slime making friends with humans. Maybe some wholesome cute dating sim stuff. What I got was really really bleak and even had a totally unexpected sex trafficking rape ending. They had a warning that the game contained sex scenes but that's pretty different from straight up rape. At the end you get to decide if you want a happy ending or a bleak ending for her. I chose happy. Overall this isn't what I expected. I wanted a cute game not a torture the adorable baby sim. It's a good game. Needed better content warnings but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt due to the language differences. The art is beautiful and the story is good. I'm not sure you can ask for more from a vn.

The game is short but I love Aura and all of this dev's games. Playable on Stem Deck but with some graphical issues sometimes

oh wow this game totally gives off that nostalgic japanese indie game vibe(where the story's basically some terrible awful thing happening to an anime girl and then uh either she spirals down into the dark side or she toughs it out and grows up but still decides to face the cruel world with a smile and love... plus a mysterious otherworldly character with an untold backstory hinted a previous game or different series) (that thousand-yard stare I gave off at that totally SFW ending...) pretty short. but the illustrations are cute and beautifully done (there are bonuses too) I would offer to be Aura's friend anytime (who would say no to a cute slime girl)

Slimegirl Wants to be Friends with Humans+ is a by turns cute & depressing visual novel with a minor point & click element, focused on the titular premise. I don't want to say too much, but the way the endings build up is done quite well. Made hitting that final end tug at the heartstrings. Definitely interesting in seeing more of this creator's work translated in the future.
