About Bowlatro
Bowlatro, is a rogue-lite bowling game where every game is different from the last one. Unlock powerful abilities, experiment with modifiers, and choose from a variety of balls to make each game unique.
Relics: Shape the Run
Each game of Bowlatro begins with a relic selection, granting you a unique ability that can reshape your strategy and gameplay. Relics provide powerful perks but can come with risks or trade-offs, making every choice meaningful. Discover new relics as you progress and experiment with different playstyles.Examples of Relics:- Explosive Pin: Transforms a normal pin into an explosive one that sends nearby pins flying on impact, boosting your score potential.
- Strike Specialist: Boosts your score by 50% for each strike, but pins hit on your second shot no longer count. It’s a high-risk, high-reward relic that rewards precision.
- Pin Reroller: Rerolls the number of active pins each frame, giving you control over the pin arrangement.
- Bumpers: Add bumpers that make it impossible to hit the gutters.
Item Shop: Build a Strategy
Every three frames, the item shop opens, offering a range of items that allow you to customize and enhance your gameplay. Items range from unique pins with special effects to modifiers that amplify your score, letting you tailor each game to your style and strategy. Try different item combinations to uncover powerful synergies!Examples of Items:- Baby Pin Launcher: Adds a pin that, when hit, launches two smaller pins in different directions, increasing your chances to knock down even more pins.
- Grapple Pin: Hooks onto the farthest pin in the lane and pulls it closer, perfect for those banana split scenarios.
- Score Multiplier Reroll: Multiplies your score based on the number of rerolls you’ve used.
Unlock and Master Unique Balls
As you progress, unlock new balls that completely change the way you play. From altering physics to introducing wild new mechanics, each ball offers a fresh and exciting twist to the gameplay.Ascension Modifiers: Evolving Challenges
Winning a game in Bowlatro is just the beginning. Each victory unlocks a new Ascension Modifier, a game-changing twist that raises the stakes and keeps the gameplay fresh. These modifiers alter the core mechanics, testing your skills and creativity as you adapt to increasingly challenging scenarios.Examples of Ascension Modifiers:- Pins Farther Apart: Pins spawn farther away from each other, making it harder to achieve that perfect strike.
- Reduced Earnings: Earn less money per game, forcing you to make tough decisions in the item shop.
- Stronger Pins: Pins become harder to knock down, requiring more power or strategic modifiers to succeed.

Is this good? Not really, it's a rough n ready amateur project, but it's got a bit of charm. For the low price I certainly had a laugh. Best of luck to the dev going forward!!1 found this helpful
Could use some polish but there is promise here, between items that effect the pins you knock over and changes to how your ball works its at least doing something different.1 found this helpful
EDIT: dev fixed some of the stuff I mentioned; it's definitely more fun now. Still a bit janky but pretty fun to bowl through. Would love to see more features! Playable and fun at times. A decent amount of bugs that can be frustrating but still alright. The idea is good but the implementation/scoring is weird at times. You can easily start a run and get all strikes but still lose just due to the rng of the game not giving you enough pins/scoring things to actually give you a chance. This is because every round you get a random number of pins placed in random spots. So you can get anywhere from 0-10 pins. 0 is the most annoying, it might just be a bug though. Also just the scoring in general is a bit weird. When you get a strike you get a '/' like you got a spare, instead of an X. There's also dev commentary (that you can turn off) that will play after like every time you get a strike. This gets old fast when you hear a random line from a list of like 5 lines repeatedly. The curving of the ball is limited, it's not like real bowling. You can only apply so much curve, and can't choose the angle the ball comes out from where you shoot. It always goes straight down the lane and yo…
