About Bowling Over It
Bowling Over It is an unsettling platforming game about climbing to the top of the world, hitting the most pins as possible, in the shorter time you can, throwing a bowling ball. Inspirated in the works Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy and Golfing Over It with Alva Majo.
- Hit all the pins and listen to the hidden story.
- Take a dip in the sea.
- Delight yourself with classical music.
- Unlock the gold ball.
- Experience the changes of gravity.

The thing that made Getting Over It so successful was that it provided a tough but fair challenge. One that required meticulous and well thought-out strategy, combined with a mastery of the controls. Getting Over It achieved such an amazing balance in this regard, that it became one of the most popular games on Steam upon its release. Bowling Over It does none of that, and that's why it fails. Not because it's a rip-off (it technically is, but that's neither here nor there), but because its challenge is tough and supremely unfair. It suffers from three major problems that Getting Over It avoided. Problem 1: No Safety Nets Getting Over It occasionally threatened to erase chunks of your progress, but let's be real here. The truth of the matter is that 90% of the time you had layers upon layers of platforms beneath you that, at the very least, prevented you from going all the way back to the beginning. Bowling Over It never provides that safety net. Most of the time you are in peril of falling all the way down to the beginning of the game, and no matter how far you progress that danger is always there. This makes the game far more difficult than Getting Over It; a game that, in an…6 found this helpful
Bowling over it is a foddian game that make use of all your screen, and more. the farther you tap on your screen and the farther your ball will go. You can even use multiple monitor to launch farther then the intended design if you have a hard time. The map is mostly fair, but toward the end, there is a space that kill you which i find a poor choice of design. If you forget about that, the game is pretty fun but also cheesable with multiple monitor. And it's more about memory than skill. I played this 2 years ago. I was scrolling down on my library and found this uninstalled, I forgot I even had this game and then I remembered: this game is so stupid and unfair I would never play it again. This piece of crap DOESN'T EVER SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. Every time you quit, it resets you to the beginning where you have to do everything again. I've got a tip for people who are reading this review: Don't ever buy this, just go on looking for other games and save your money.1 found this helpful
