About Super Drift Blade

You have been deprived of most of your control methods. What happened? Try to understand the world when you can only slide the mouse. But if you click the mouse, unexpected and dangerous things will happen.

Who created this world? Keep exploring more areas. There are various hidden mechanisms around the world waiting for you to crack.

You can get different small props in the treasure chest, let them help you. After the battle upgrade, cultivate your character in each round by adding attribute points.

Partners went on an adventure together, but were accidentally teleported to different places. Where are they? What happened? Everything is waiting for your exploration!

About the Developer

From the developer of Bubble People, using the same jittery hand-drawn style and adding more color! This is my 8th game on Steam.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this game's charming puzzle-solving design, cute aesthetic, and engaging story with hidden lore, praising the well-balanced difficulty that encourages exploration and discovery. However, many find the combat system tedious and pointless after early upgrades, with some hitting frustrating difficulty spikes in specific puzzles that make progression feel arbitrary rather than fair.

If you are a puzzle lover, this game will likely be a small hidden gem for you. Super Drift Blade goes far beyond standard puzzle solutions to make you engage with the game and the story, and does it in a charming way. The only gripe i have with the game is that the steam tags are very misleading, because this is a puzzle game at it's core, not a roguelite adventure game. People that look for a roguelite game will be very dissapointed, and puzzle fans would struggle to find this small gem! This game gave me some things to think about, which is a lot more than what most games give me. Super Drift Blade exceeds what I would expect from an indie game with a solo developer, and can only recommend it a lot.

The game was fine, the puzzles were pretty difficult at times. (For better or worse) Sometimes the solution was dumb or there was a language barrier getting in the way, so I do want to give this game a lot of grace, but outside of a small few, I felt like they were well thought out. The story was not bad either. I felt like it did a good job at trying to stick to it's meta-narrative while it was trying to develop the in-world story considering this is still a small indie game. The biggest reason why I can't recommend the game is the music. The game was already crossing the line between being too repetitive, having an unsatisfying ending, confusing puzzles and having a creative game mechanic, an interesting story, and a clean movement, but the AI generated music just ruined it for me. Not only was it pretty bad before I knew it was AI, (which I would've taken if it wasn't) but seeing that made me realize this game is not worth the support, and any more attention than I've already given it. AI generation should never be used for artwork, music production, or anything of the sort. The ability to create art, videos, and games is an incredible thing. So many pieces have to fall in pl…

An excellent, clever little puzzle game that, unlike many others, has some genuinely fun gameplay and doesn't waste your time. They're the best kind of puzzles - once you realise the solution it seems so obvious, you feel silly like "why didn't I realise that before!?" and from that point actually solving it is super easy. Once you figure them out the solutions are easy to do unlike some other puzzle games (e.g. Blue Prince and Obduction!) The only criticism I have is that the combat system is such a missed opportunity - combat is fun and I enjoyed learning to use the different weapons, but it's so trivially easy that I don't really see the point in having boss fights, permanent upgrades, different weapons or even character stats at all. You're more of a danger to yourself than the enemies are, and I sort of wish there'd been something to actually make it worth collecting those stat upgrades. But it's a puzzle game at its core, and the combat is really just something to do while you're travelling.

Ok this game is fun. The puzzle elements are just hard enough you can probably figure it out without help, but they are on that weird borderline of conveing information through "complex" pictures. The combat is completely tedious - doesn't need to be here honestly - same with the "roguelite" element. The story is fun as well. Great game, I got the main ending in about 6h - can probs 100% in about 4-8 if you're smarter than me
