About Time Break

Time Break is a game set in an alternate reality where you are a police officer training to serve the public with your standard issue time slowing and rewind watch. Assess, resume time, and stop the crime. Keep the city safe from a deadly group against the manipulation of time.

Every level will start in stopped time. This allows you to survey the environment. Take in what crime is happening and what you can use to stop it. Maybe it's throwing a trash can lid at a robber or exploding a can of spray paint with a lighter. Each level is filled with multiple solutions to solve each scenario. When you're ready, resume the flow of time and stop the crime using whatever you can in the environment. If you fail, the level automatically rewinds time back to the start of the crime. Try and try again until you successfully stop the crime.

Time Break is a student game, made in about 7 months, through the University of Utah Entertainment Arts and Engineering Program.
Leaked Footage
In a not-so-surprising revelation in the death of Jorge Claude, cops are once again being blamed. New body cam footage shows cops using Y*****ING TIME POWERS TO LITERALLY KILL THE CRIMINALS. That's right folks, the dreaded time company has given time powers to the people we will defend in killing you and your family because murder is legal only for enforcers. Let's tune into the footage so we know how to defend these cops from the mass public of liberal snowflake communist socialist gay pedophiles with mental illness'
Ignore all the money we get from actual pedophiles and mentally ill CEOs
. I'm not an AI I'm just the joker. And I can't imagine how but know conservatives would absolutely defend cops using time magic to kill people before they committed crimes. The thing is, conservatives believe cops should be like knights, judges, juries, and executioners. The games they play with people's lives is disgusting. And the best part is cops will lie through their teeth even when they know they are evil. ALLL COPS ARE BASTARDS. [b]Anyway this is a great horror game with some very janky mechanics, and a compelling story, but the messed up phy…

"Time Break" is a weird conceptual game where you run around asset flipped environments and control the flow of time, which is an interesting gimmick that was done better by games like Superhot. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. There's not enough "fun game" here for this to be recommendable, and the flipped assets leave a bad taste in the mouth. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just bec…

Although it was short, it was very cool. The goofiness of the environment and scenarios combined with the engaging story and passionate voice-acting made for a great 30 minutes. It accomplishes its goal very nicely. I assume that this wasn't meant for much more than that, so I give it a 3/3.
