THE STORY
Scientists have made a mistake... The panda they were experimenting on has become a monster. An all-seeing demi-god with only revenge and destruction on its mind. Only the research facility's janitor can be sent to the past to save humanity. Unfortunately for him, they send him to far. Drift your way through humanity's history and fight everything that's on your way. You're the janitor after all. You've got to clean things up.
THE JANITOR
In Time Drifter, you control the janitor by driving his vehicle. It always goes as fast as it can, forward. Turn the steering wheel left or right to turn. Hit enemies to defeat them and fill up your ultimate ability. When you have enough energy, unleash this special power to slow time.
AVENTURE MODE
Follow the adventure of the janitor trying to get back in the future. Through multiple levels, you'll fight the Roman Empire's men and make your way out of the coliseum. Defeat the final boss to unlock a new game mode: Endless
ENDLESS MODE
Welcome to the Endless Tower, the tallest structure dedicated to fighting in all of Rome. This game mode will provide you plenty of challenging levels. Each one is comprised of 10 rounds. Beat them all and you get to climb the tower. How high can you go? How many levels can you beat? Find out after completing the adventure mode.

Time Drifter is a 2D retro top down... well, despite not looking like it, this is a retro SpaceWar!/Asteroids type game where you can't stop the forward momentum of your space ship (in this case some kind of car, but it's just a skin) and you must run into your enemies in various arenas. There's a lengthy yet superfluous plot about being sent back in time to drive your car over Roman gladiators. It's very short and feels a bit like it's abandoned Early Access that was dumped on Steam anyway. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. Drift-tastic
An absolutely ridiculous premise that is highly entertaining...for the 15 minutes it lasts. Does have an endless mode that is fun, but without the humorous narrative it just doesn't have the same pizzazz. I really hope the developer comes back to the project, but now that we are nearing 3 years from the release, I'm having my doubts that I'll be able to save the world from a super-sentient panda as a vehicle-drifting, no-nonsense janitor. A mild thumbs up.
