Great rendition of a modern classic rogue-like, putting challenge and survival strategy back into Cataclysm.

I like this game however the innawoods mod is referencing leather armor suit is missing so I get an error message every time I load up. If the errors are fixed this game would be awesome.

Should be in the Early Access Game program. C:TLG is a fork of C:DDA and it is in massive flux with no end in sight. Non stop changes and bug fixes. Anyone else would call the offered version an experimental or nightly release candidate. (Just read the game updates and hotfixes). And this is the only version offered through Steam. This is totally counter to expectations of getting a game on Steam. Instead, I would download a branch from GitHub to lock in your world. And use Patreon. I wouldn't say i was a heavy C:DDA player, but even i(early on) had a world break/end due to staying current on experimental. You will likely be disappointed after the 2 hour return limit. Of course, you lose all the safety and features of getting it off Steam this way... review: Many many very nice changes. A few on level of C:DDA Skill decay(which i hope become optional). Some with hope that removal/reduction was only way to introduce better version later. On other hand, some of the core issues that a new player sees with C:DDA are not addressed yet(not sure its fair to mention the known mid/end game issues with C:DDA). The game is very fun, if slower paced, ASCII based games are your thing. As expected, it has a large learning curve and a high difficulty, but has helpful menus and graphical options included, and it is also turn based so there is ample time to mouse over things and dig into the menus. The fork is consistently updated, and there's a Github where the game can be acquired for no cost (and previous versions can be gotten there as well). The Steam version supports the developer, and doesn't cost a lot to do so. Recently there have been a bunch of reviews with the only information being that the reviewer was banned from a discord for some reason or another. The thing is, anyone can lie and obscure things in an anecdote, and consumer culture has eroded the connections between people. The developer's a real person (not a corporation) working on a passion fork, and seems to be a bit of an auture, which are a difficult group of detail oriented people. Based on the quality and content of the fork, and the frequency of updates, I recommend absolutely trying the game for free first, and then supporting the developer if one can.

If your new to cataclysm imagine zomboid meets caves of qud (exceptionally well done may i add) this is the best steam version by far and also the cheapest if i recall. This version of cataclysm is personally the best setting/balance i am looking for out of the different versions (something i learned after buying lol it was the abandonware state of the others steam versions that pushed me to this one at first) A standout moment for me is when a zombie dog latched onto my strong and tough biker whilst riding through town i had to let go of the controls to grab the dog whilst the bike is still moving and throw it through a window as i drove by lol (Terrifying and cinematic experience :P) Games tough at first stick at it you are rewarded with huge possibilities! thanks alot for making a good game better with your version!
