What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Surviving the Aftermath receives consistently negative feedback from players who find it repetitive, tedious, and mechanically shallow. Common complaints center on excessive waiting and resource grinding, buggy gameplay, unfinished mechanics, and a general lack of engaging content that players describe as mobile-style design on desktop. Players broadly advise against purchasing it.
Not recommended. All buggy and terrible gameplay1 found this helpful
I would’ve had more fun watching paint dry than playing this game. Give me my time back.
I didn't like the mechanics of the game at all, it felt like they had left it halfway through.
mobile slop game on your desktop
Surviving the Aftermath is boring, repetitive, and way more shallow than it looks. Most of the game is just waiting, collecting resources, and dealing with the same problems over and over again. The colony management gets tedious fast, the world map feels like busywork, and very little of it is actually satisfying. Not worth the money.
I can’t recommend this game.
