About Survivors of Mayhem
Survivors of Mayhem - a fast paced fantasy survivor game. Embark on a heart-pounding journey through waves of fantasy battle, where chaos reigns, and your every decision could mean the difference between life and death. You'll face relentless waves of enemies, upgrade your character, pick and choose from over two dozen abilities, a hundred items, and stat upgrades to try to survive.
Will you become a true survivor in the face of Mayhem? Find out as you embrace the chaos, uncover the mysteries, and carve your path to victory. Thanks for checking out Survivors of Mayhem, I'm a solo developer and I love making games! This is my version of what I think is a fun Survivor Bullet-Heaven style game mixed in with some classic RPG style abilities and items. You'll find fireballs, bows, daggers, blizzard, poison, and all sorts of other fun abilities to use! There's a complete list of abilities and items in game from the main menu as well.

Going out of my way to leave a Not Recommended for all the prospective buyers that, like me, wonder what makes this game so good that it has a uniformly positive rating. The answer is: Nothing. Literally nothing separates this from the dozens and dozens of other survivor like clones out there, apart from maybe the fact it's still hideously undercooked and it uses copy pasted assets. If you've played at least one survivor-like then the combat, upgrade system, and meta progression will feel extremely familiar. This game does nothing interesting with them and like so many attempts to cash in on the trend, totally misses the point in several aspects and actually implements retrograde game systems like the upgrades being basically all +/- 000.3 % to a stat where the context is entirely opaque. It's lazy, dull, and grindy. To everybody saying 'it's early access' - ok, that 's why I haven't mentioned the dreadful, clunky UI layout and migraine inducing colour scheme, or the messy visual signposting of what is what in the arena, or the insipid dull artwork and assets. All these things may and probably will be addressed in EA dev, but the fact that the game is pitching itself on doing …2 found this helpful
This is a really fun take on the bullet heaven (survivors-like) genre. It's still in Early Access, but it appears as though the developer is working hard to bring us more content and improve things based on player feedback. I really like the look of the game and some of the abilities are super cool looking. It's also nice that the game provides you with so much information on your current build. If you love to min/max, then you'll see what I mean. Can't wait to see what's in store for this game in the future! Y'all, don't sleep on this!2 found this helpful
Early Access Review - July 11, 2026
There's some pretty decent gameplay to be had in this early access version of Survivors of Mayhem, but it's trapped beneath memory leaks, coding errors, balance problems, performance issues and some fairly rough UI implementation. Needs a few QA/Optimization/QoL passes before it's as playable as you'd like your EA Unity Bullet Heaven game to be. As it stands, I personally have to quit right out of the game and make sure the process is terminated before trying to play through a full level. It gets tiresome pretty fast. If the dev(s) can sort out the performance issues and tighten the user interface up, this would get a recommend from me. Cute, fun little Bullet Heaven.1 found this helpful
Played one level and beat it and it would not let me go back to main menu the buttons would not work had to task manager out of it. Besides that was still fun am still gonna play it.1 found this helpful
Cannot recommend this. I cannot see why this game is being in the positive when it is really, really not in a good state. It is not even an alpha. There are better games of this genre that are less in price. I have had so many errors that it is ridiculous in around an hour worth of time. The UX/UI is just so bad and gives no information. What is the difference between range and area? Who knows. When you get to a certain level you have a choice of 1 strength instead of 3 since it is something to be added in the future. They seem to update every 3 months but the amount of additions in the update are minimal. This game has been in EA for at least 1.5 YEARS!!!!!! How can it feel like a high school programming project that was done in like 2 months? There is the possibility that this will be a great game way in the future but at this time it should not be something for sale. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND AT THIS TIME!!!!!! I will keep playing it but I am betting soon it will be considered abandoned or they will do fake little updates so that it states it is not abandoned. Edit (2026/07/16): I know this might sound rude but there are 2 games from the same developer and I can see the po…
Fun romp with lots of numbers
