- More than two hundred unique meta-progression upgrades - ranging from Electrically Charged Turrets, making yourself a rage-induced Barbarian, to calling purifying light down from the heavens!

I've been playing Lone Survivors On & Off for a good bit now. On the verge of getting the last few achievements I need to 100% it. Overall it's a fun, charming little game that has everything you could want from a one man band built Survival-like. That said it does have it's little quirks and flaws and is by no means a perfect game. Visuals are very stylised NES style pixel art, it's not all that pretty but it's serviceable for the most part. The gameplay loop is addicting enough, you've got your Campaign which mainly consists of 4 maps and one 'final encounter' scenario. Then once you've progressed a bit you start unlocking the other modes, as well as ascension modes that let you replay the campaign at a higher difficulty. Mode wise, you've got Endless, letting you try to survive on each of the 4 major maps. A Speedrun mode, which is just trying to beat the campaign as fast as possible. Ironman... which is just Endless but you're locked in a small dull gray room with only 20 level ups to spend... feels a bit unnecessary to me. And a Bossrush, self explanatory. $5 is an amazing deal for this game even not on sale. Huge skill tree, a bunch of classes with different mechanics, unique map modifiers, and it's got the chill fun you expect from a survivors-like "bullet heaven". What a steal compared to some of the trash asking you for $70+ these days.1 found this helpful

Lone Survivors is a charming addition to the survivorslike/bullet heaven/action roguelike (or whatever you call it) genre of games. There are a lot of interesting ideas here like the class system, active skills, and the way progression is handled. The classes themselves are also a nice mix of the standard and wacky (the frog class is pretty funny and fun to play). I can also say that the developer has really put in a lot of work over time in both fixing bugs in the game and adding new content. My enjoyment of this game has just increased over time and I look forward to seeing what additions the dev has in store for the future. While I do enjoy it there are some things that hold it back. There are only a handful of maps currently, and some of the minigames like the blacksmith and fishing aren't anything too exciting. Blacksmithing is the more annoying of the two since it really helps your weapon get stronger but the process is a bit tedious, at least it was when I was doing it.1 found this helpful
THIS GAME IS SO GOOD!!!!! The characters and weapons have variety to them, the unlocks are rewarding, and the creator is very involved in the community to constantly work on improving the game! Also, sound design is SOOO satisfying 10/10 sounds very good1 found this helpful
A very OK survivors-like. Not overly original or amazing, but for the price, I can't complain.
