Great little game that deserves more attention! It's somewhat similar to games like Vampire Survivors, mixed with a little bullet hell. Your run around fighting enemies, collecting XP, leveling up, etc. What's unique about Triple Swap Tower is that you don't control one entity, but three. Each has a differnet attack pattern (eg: horizontal, diagonal, short vs long range, homing, etc.) In a way, it would be kind of like if only one weapon was active at a time in VS, and you swapped between them to make use of different attack patterns. The other key point here is that your party members have stamina and have to cooldown, so you are forced to swap. It's a satisfying game loop: fight enemies until you reach a boss, then rest up in town and recover health / get items / level up, then off to the next boss. Repeat for 4 bosses and then you're off to face a final boss. Between runs, you'll unlock new party members with their own passives and attack patterns. The low-res pixel art style is a perfect fit. Everything here is super punchy and satisfying, despite being visually simple. A couple things I felt could be improved: - The game is visually busy, with enemies leaving lots of s…5 found this helpful
Really impressive game. A true hidden gem. It's got a satisfying gameplay loop and the art style is amazing. Definitely worth the money. Love to see that you can find games like this on steam.4 found this helpful
Thought i was doing good then dodged over spikes and died, anyways great game! once you get a hold of the controls its a great game play loop that challenges you but isn't overwhelming, art and sounds are fun, cant wait to see what else there is!3 found this helpful
This game is fantastic! It's a sweet little action arcade/roguelike. Nails that roguelike feel of "get super powerful builds, while still remaining a challenge." Fun achievements runs. Soundtrack is a banger and sound design is great. Controls are responsive. Lots of characters to mix and match to create interesting teams. Dodge roll your way to victory! I recommend it!3 found this helpful
8 out of 10 for the way you run around the ring. My expertise (which nobody asked for) showed that ranged characters live and survive better. The short time I’ve spent playing showed me that melee characters suck. The game is excellent—clean visual design with vibrant colors; wow. I’m not sure what kind of goo splashes back in my face from my attacks, though. Keep up the good work. A good game for 3 bucks.1 found this helpful
Triple Swap Tower is a brutally challenging, but addictive rogue-like. The gameplay is straightforward, but there is quite a bit of depth with the amount of possible combinations when choosing your team of three adventurers. I played it on the Steam Deck, and it plays perfectly.
