PARASiTE FLOWER is a beautiful yet disturbing side scroller game where you slowly uncover the story of Ari.
A short disturbing horror game where you're playing as Ari Yeong, she is re-living the same day over and over again. With each loop the world around her get's darker and more dangerous. Choose the right options to keep her alive and get her to class.
The game is interactive, with cut scenes, original watercolor-like artwork. You can enjoy the beautifully drawn scenery, although in contrast will have to go through the dark reality of Ari's life. Keep in mind your decisions matter.

INSPIRATION
This game is inspired by true crime cases and some of my own experiences in Korea, the dark side of Korea.

It’s a 45min to one hour story about violence aimed at a child who absolutely does not deserve it. What do you expect me to tell you? It’s plain and it’s twisted at the same time. It’s grim. It follows a girl called Ari on her journey from home to school over the span of three days (or not). Watching trailer should give you the proper idea where this entire thing is heading. Pessimism ensues. The graphics are pretty. They are very basic but perfectly composed and profoundly blue. And when they turn red it’s already too late. The NPCs are mostly black outlines and shadows, with just a few exceptions, only a few lines of dialogue and nothing besides bad intentions. The animation of the protagonist is also rudimentary with only a few frames for walking. That’s enough, since it is all Ari does. She can walk left and right, look up and down and interact with the points of interest in the environment, but these interactions only consist of viewing more dialogues and suffering horrible consequences. And out of this already limited pool of actions, Ari mostly walks right since the game does not allow returning to a previous screen outside of one or two predetermined scenarios, wh…

horrified but it also froze on the final sequence and i had to watch the ending on youtube after trying multiple methods of restoring it. very unfortunate.
