It's a very good game, don't listen to the non player haters, and once we'll get white rabbit vandal skin it'll be even better.
Despite the controversy with destiny, im gonna focus 100% on what I like about marathon without any outside factors swaying my opinion. As a game I feel like this game get the most important thing right which is that ITS FUN ASF TO PLAY. The shooting is superb, the maps are great to learn, run through and memorize. The puzzles within each map are exactly the kind of secrets I was expecting from a game like this and the PVE is challenging and engaging. The game really does shine when the pvp and pve intertwine as all of a sudden new strategies open up and quick decisions become the most important part of determining a good team from a great one. None of this is particularly new to extraction shooters and I haven’t played a whole lot of them admittedly but I do feel like what marathon does right it does extremely well (imo its the game to do it the best within the genre) and overall its FUN to play. Another couple of things I love about this game: -the art-style is great, i mean despite the blockiness of everything (which can be hit or miss for a lot of people), the game is extremely immersive and does a great job at making convincing locations. -Skyboxes are beautiful as the…
Fun and innovative. I enjoy the unique visuals, although some may be put off by them at first. But this does not take away from the great gameplay. Highly recommend others give this game a fair try before writing it off.
