About Last Stop
Last Stop is a narrative adventure set in modern London where you inhabit three interconnected characters—a rebellious teenager, an overwhelmed father, and an ambitious professional—whose ordinary lives take supernatural turns. Your dialogue choices and exploration shape how their intertwining stories unfold across a richly voice-acted experience that finds magic in the everyday struggles of ordinary people.
Last Stop is a single-player third-person adventure set in present day London.
Written and developed by Variable State, creators of the award-winning Virginia, Last Stop tells three interconnected tales featuring three playable main characters.
- Donna, a spaced-out high-schooler who feels trapped by her stifling home life and her overprotective big sister. Away from home, Donna seeks teenage thrills with her friends Becky and Vivek, but gets more than she bargained for when the trio become unexpected kidnappers in a game of amateur detective gone wrong.
- John, an overworked middle-aged single dad. Burdened with debt and the pressures of being an only parent, John jealously pines after the free and easy life of his twenty-something bachelor neighbour, Jack. When the pair unwittingly fall foul of a vengeful stranger, a cursed artefact threatens to transform their lives forever.
- Meena, a ruthlessly ambitious professional who struggles to find the same satisfaction with her family that she does in the thrill of her work. As Meena vies with an upstart colleague for a crucial promotion, something ancient stirs in the basement beneath her workplace.
Last Stop is fully voice acted, featuring hours of dialogue and a voice cast of dozens, with performances from some of the brightest talent in the UK today, including rising star Lulu Simpson as Molly Smith.
Last Stop features an original soundtrack by BAFTA award winning composer Lyndon Holland, performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Finally original story and a breath of fresh air. Not a lot of choices but characters were very original and game isn’t afraid of controversy. Graphics look dated and sountrack is heavily limited sadly but it still is a very good game. Don't watch anything on the game, just play it.3 found this helpful
Not a very complicated game, so if you want some challange, the review is not for you - the game more about the story. And speaking of it I only give it thumbs up because of being indie - I can understand constraints of remaking something or being unable to hire more people/consultants for writing - should've it been the big(er) publisher I'd be less lenient. The story is nice, though no "a-ha!" moments. The voice acting is the strongest feature of the game - praise to actors. Don't get me wrong - the story is good! Not mindblowing but good. If you had a hard week and want a nice rest - then sencerelly recomend. If not - keep it in the library for those times you want slower evenings/days in your playing3 found this helpful
Having played many an interactive story game, this very loosely should be called one. Interactive story, yes. Game? Not entirely. Thumbs up though as I was keen to see how it played out nonetheless and very much enjoyed sitting through it.1 found this helpful
Great narrative game that lets you play as three different characters in parallel to each other, in any order, and whose stores ultimately converge in a satisfying finale. Top notch voice acting and plot, which while grounded in realism goes firmly into the supernatural by the end. Strong recommendation for fans of the narrative genre.
I really loved this one. More and more, I'm finding more enjoyment from an 'on-rails' game with elements of interactivity than I am with open world epics, that I rarely, if ever, get to the end of. This gave me a really interesting (and surprising) story that I felt I was still able to influence. The art style was great and the music worthy of note. Kept me engaged throughout to its conclusion. If you like a good story, you could do a lot worse!
controls were a bit janky but it's a very underrated story game and the last chapter was amazing
