The Last Campfire

A sweet and beautiful puzzle adventure with great messages. There's a good amount of content, with most time being spent on puzzles that were easy but creative and with interesting mechanics to play around. Most of them were pretty short and manageable but also fulfilling and rewarding. Not a lot of characters to meet, but each one had a personal and touching story to tell. Every little message had a lesson to it, as did the main plot. They nailed the art direction. It's cozy, has a lot of personality, and keeps its visual cohesion until the end while still caring for details. Animations are also clean, mostly fluid, and look great. The soundtrack and voice acting were perfectly chosen, as they complement the overall experience perfectly. Camera work felt perfect to me, changing the angle whenever it was needed and doing it seamlessly. Controls were a bit messy. I played on the keyboard only, as the mouse felt unnecessary and confusing. There's no way to change keys, which would be good too, and I found out that there was a key to run (?)/sprint a little only after finishing the game, as there was no indication anywhere, not even on the controls menu, of how to do so. cute relaxing puzzle game, some easy but others more challenging the storyline seemed naive at first but builds up into something deeper with a meaningful ending not a fan of the voiced narration though

Bought this game like a year ago, only got to play recently. Game is well made good short story and amazing puzzles, and also my very first game i completed completely

Good Puzzle Game A Bit Hard, Doesn´t Lag Or Bug

[i]The Last Campfire is a basic, cute, and polished puzzle game about what makes life worth living.[/i] [h3]Overview[/h3] The game really is as simple as my one sentence review makes it seem. The gameplay is just basic puzzle gameplay, the characters are cute and contemplative, and the world serves as an almost entire linear exploration of what gives the Embers of the world will to live. I enjoyed the game a solid amount, but it almost overstayed its welcome by the end. It took me almost exactly five hours to beat it, but by hour three, I was already hoping that it would end soon. There was nothing particularly bad about the experience that made me want it to end sooner, but I just wasn't very interested by the puzzles. Luckily, the final sequence was probably the best in the game, and the conclusion was a beautiful way to finish Ember (and the other characters' stories). I liked the world that Hello Games crafted. It had some really sweet, interesting characters and interactions that passed by all-too fast, and the visual design of the world wasn't anything outstanding, but was very pleasant to look at and walk around in.
