About The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day
You play as an inquisitive robot exploring a post-apocalyptic world, solving puzzles and making moral choices in a logic-driven realm where humanity has vanished. The game captivates with its atmospheric 3D environments, philosophical storytelling, and mystery-driven narrative that challenges what morality means when stripped down to pure reason.
Imagine making moral choices in a world devoid of morality. Logic rules this world, and every decision is just a set of zeros and ones. Most concepts take a whole new meaning, and some get completely abolished. Luckily reasonable beings, even if not human, always have a choice. The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day is an story-driven adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world. You see it from the perspective of an engineering robot RT-217NP, who seems to be very curious about the human race, long extinct in wasting wars. Experience the mysterious vibe of each of carefully explored locations. Test your skills, solving diverse puzzles. Make fateful decisions and discuss intriguing matters to find out the whole truth being kept from you.

I try to 100% games, but If I would miss any achievements in this one, I would not bother replaying the game to get them. Its not horrible, but it dosnt feel good either. There are so many better ways to spend your money and time than this... PROS + the story is decent, but it is cut too short CONS - subpaar graphics - buggy and slow controls with bad camera angles (especially leter in the game) - alot of pointless backtracking, as you the player may know the solutions, but the stupid bot needs unnecessary clicks and backtracking to uhnderstand what he is allowed to do - story was cut in like 33% of the game, like this game has 33% of the planned story, and the ending feel incredibly bad because of it, it feels more like EA/playtest with "continuation in full game that dosnt exist" Neutral ° short (2-3h)3 found this helpful
Pleasant little point and click with an interesting story. Looks good, music design is great. Easy game to relax and pass time with.
The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day constructs a chilling narrative framework where an artificial intelligence discovers the grim reality of human extinction while navigating a society built upon systematic falsehoods. Operating from the perspective of an emotionless machine provides a unique sense of otherness as the protagonist misinterprets various human artefacts. Steel-clad ruins and reclaimed landscapes foster a gritty atmosphere that effectively frames the investigative role undertaken by the player. Uncovering environmental clues and audio logs reveals a world that, despite lacking biological inhabitants, still struggles with the complex flaws inherited from its long-departed creators during their final days. Point-and-click investigation loops focus on the efficient use of hacking tools and a plasma cutter to bypass security barriers or restore essential power. These systems aim to simulate the cold precision of a robot, though this feeling of mechanical competence is occasionally hindered by frustratingly unclear interaction methods during sequences. Minigame interfaces for various logic puzzles often rely on vague visual cues that impede the flow of an otherwise compe…
Very sweet and short game. I loved the pop references scattered throughout. Not a fan of the movement controls. I think the game is clearly meant to be played on a controller. The only bug I encountered is a black square appearing on the bottom of the screen, and growing until it covers everything. It fixes itself after opening the graphics menu and messing with the checkmarks. It happened only twice, so I don't remember which one fixes it. Other than that, I loved the surroundings and worldbuilding. Maybe I'm getting old, but the puzzles felt a little difficult on occasion. Overall, good point-and-click adventure.
Autism overdosed on tranquilizers.
For a game so beautiful, this is probably one of the most boring games that I've played, with the exception of a singular 5 minute segment where you're driving. Worst part is the part where the game doesn't even really have an ending.
