About Mars Attracts

Guess Who's Ack, Ack Again...

Mars Attracts is a theme park management game set on Mars. Play as the devious Martians from the cult-classic universe of Mars Attacks™ and build your amusement park empire, abducting humans from across history to display in customizable enclosures for the entertainment of curious Martian guests. Study humanity in their natural habitat, or subject them to whatever twisted experiments you can imagine!

Business Is Boomin'!

Take on the role of a Martian CEO and confront the challenge of theme park management — craft the perfect red planet tourist attraction, complete with human enclosures, death-defying rides, and a carefully selected range of amenities. You won’t last long if you can’t turn a profit.
  • Cater to your guests’ diverse needs by unlocking a range of merch stalls, food vendors, and colorfully gruesome decorations.
  • Manage supply chains by assigning helpful porters to keep your park running smoothly.
  • Balance your books by taking out loans and customising prices with an in-depth financial management system.
  • Gain the approval of the colourful cast of Martian board members by completing optional missions and park inspections.

Improvise, Abduct, Overcome

Humans come in all shapes, sizes, and bounciness. Employ advanced Martian technology to procure humans from across history – from Ancient Rome to the Wild West – and build the perfect habitat to ensure they have no idea they ever left.
  • Launch abduction missions to Earth to capture humans from across history, each with their own set of unique traits and preferences.
  • Gather knowledge of humans from different time periods to learn how to construct the perfect enclosure.
  • Collect unique historical humans including Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and Date Masamune.
  • Tailor enclosures to appeal to each human’s unique preferences using decor items collected from expeditions.
  • Unhappy humans won’t remain docile for long. Hire security teams and build defences to deal with rampaging humans before they trash your beautiful park and kill your innocent guests.

It's Probing Time!

For centuries, Martian explorers have scoured the galaxy for signs of intelligent life. So far, no luck. Nevertheless, there is much to be learned by studying human behavior. Maximize their happiness to enlighten your guests on the mysteries of these strange enclosed-brained creatures, or push your captives to the limit and see what breaks. For science, of course.
  • Unlock new buildings and staff abilities from the research tree by performing gruesome experiments on captive humans.
  • Dissect excess humans to construct anatomical horrors to decorate your park.
  • Satisfy your guests’ need for random acts of cruelty by building torture devices, running experiments, or selling merch made from human body parts.

✦ AI summary

Mars Attracts is a quirky zoo and amusement park builder with a fun alien theme that sets it apart from the genre, featuring a solid campaign mode with good progression and variety in gameplay elements. While players praise its engaging design and creative direction that transcends typical builder game tropes, some report technical issues like crashes and note the game can feel repetitive during longer play sessions. Most agree it's an enjoyable experience, particularly for those who appreciate objective-driven simulation games, though early access stability concerns warrant caution for some.

As others have said, this is a pale immitation of more modern theme park games. The UX is frustrating, the balance is off, and there's honestly not much to do, at least in as much of the game as I played before returning it.

Ack ack....ack aaack ackaack ackkk aaack ack aack!! Sadly this is the most barebone and laziest park sim ever. Arguable if it is worth the current price (19€) on discount or not. Everything this game offers, any other park sim is doing way better.

Pretty good. A might tedious, but that's the genre, I suppose. Needs much more stuff to play with

A really fun park-sim game with a nice thematic spin on it. The dark themes blend nicely with the humor, and I quickly fell in love with it. The campaign missions are not terribly challenging, but I did have some trouble with the side missions that involved human happiness. Humans from different eras look for different things in their habitats, and I really recommend paying attention to what they want. It’ll help you in the future. Once I had to reload a save because it wouldn’t register the water pipes correctly, but I’d say only having one real noticeable bug in 28 hours is pretty great. Overall, my biggest complaint is that there isn’t more, because I am smitten. I want to entertain more of these little freaks.

The game is a little easy but it's some silly relaxing fun and I enjoy it. Most games made from existing IP's are atrocious but this is actually not bad. To address the negative reviews. Is it as good as the two point games? Well, no. But I think it's pretty clear from the price of the product that the devs themselves know that their game isn't on par with the two-point franchise. Which is precisely why this game is cheaper than any of the games from the two-point series and it also doesn't have 12 paid DLC's. At Launch Two point games are sold for $30-40 with lots of later DLC bringing the total upwards of $100 Jurassic World Evolution games were sold for $50-60 with lots of later DLC bringing the total well over $100 Planet Coaster games were sold for $50-60 with lots of later DLC also totaling over $100. When you take any of this into consideration, anyone attempting to compare these on a 1:1 ratio just seem a tad disingenuous if you ask me. If these developers were making something that was meant to legitimately COMPETE with these games, rather than exist alongside them as silly fun alternative, they would have attempted to sell it for the industry standard, no? But... Yeah.…

Very unique Park sim but exactly what I would expect from a Mars Attacks Park sim very well done on that end. Also love how it feels more like one of the older park sim games Roller Coaster/Zoo Tycoon
