Refunded
I wish I could play this because it seems like a very appealing genre-mix... * Broken, machine translated engrish and some elements like the intro comic isn't even translated at all. * A control scheme, you could only find in hell. I can't understand why you have a mouse & cursor and then CAN NOT MOUSE-CLICK for anything?! You have to use 'E' to tile, to collect stuff, to open chests, to activate crafting stations. WHY CANT I CLICK?! What madness is this?! You can't remap keys either. You have a billion keys, but 'I' for inventory because of stupid legacy instead of a key you naturally can reach while playing like C or something. Controller support is basically nonexistent. START is closing an inventory and you interact with O but then proceed with X. It's totally messed up. It makes the game so clunky, it is unplayable sadly. Until you can remap keys or have proper controller support I can't recommend it.

Bug Patched with v1.1.1, I will update my review at a later date. --------- I'd like to try out this game, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but I've got a bug with cinematic mode, when I try to finish the “Tomato mushroom Soup” quest, which is part of "agriculture learning" questline, the cinematic mode doesn't close and I can't do anything, not even exit the game. I checked to see if this bug occurred on another quest with the cinematic mode and unfortunately yes, it also happened in a quest related to the city. I don't know why this is happening. I tried starting a new game and also tested it on another computer (intel/nvidia instead of this one, which is AMD), but the issue persists. I'm going to wait for an update, hoping that my problem gets fixed. I can still play without doing quests or by trying to avoid the city-related ones, but honestly, it's better to wait and play once it's patched.

Faun Town is a genre-blending indie title that ambitiously combines farming simulation, automation and factory building, light survival mechanics, exploration, and defensive combat into a single, expansive sandbox experience. Developed and published by 2P Games, the game drops players onto a strange and isolated island after a crash landing, immediately setting the stage for a journey that balances cozy routines with mounting complexity and an undercurrent of mystery. Rather than committing to a single genre identity, Faun Town deliberately layers systems on top of one another, encouraging players to carve out their own pace and priorities as the island slowly transforms from wilderness into a humming, semi-automated settlement. The early hours are grounded in familiar survival and farming fundamentals. Players gather wood, mine ore, plant crops, fish, and cook food to sustain themselves while constructing basic structures and workstations. These opening systems are intentionally approachable, easing players into the rhythm of daily tasks while quietly introducing the larger production chains that will eventually dominate gameplay. As technology unlocks, manual labor gives way to …

Nice gameplay. A bit rough around the edges and the translation is not great but I had lot of fun playing it!
