Featuring high-speed violent combat with multiple weapons, playable bonus characters, and a beginner-friendly Hero Play Style mode, it evolves the brutal action experience while remaining accessible to all skill levels.
Take on the role of Ryu Hayabusa, a ninja who has inherited the legendary “Dragon Sword” and takes on battles across the world, in this graphic remaster of the popular high-speed ninja action title that returns after 15 years!1. The world of “NINJA GAIDEN 2” remastered with rich visuals!
The stages, characters, effects, and lighting have been completely redesigned and remastered to provide realistic visuals. Unreal Engine 5 has been utilized to create stunning current-generation graphics, allowing players to immerse themselves more deeply in the story's world.
2. High-speed x violent action further evolved with the latest graphic expressions!
Gore elements such as dismemberment and blood have been remastered to enhance the action experience. Players can enjoy high-speed, violent action using a wide variety of weapons and techniques, including Japanese swords, shurikens, Kusari-gamas, and tonfas.
Note: The dismemberment feature can be toggled on and off in the Options menu.

NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black features responsive, fast-paced combat with satisfying moves that appeal to fans of the hack-and-slash genre, though players note significant technical issues including input lag, stuttering, and performance problems that make the experience feel disconnected despite the game's faithful remaster improvements. The fixed camera design creates frustration during platforming sections, and the input lag becomes especially problematic when frame generation is enabled for higher framerates.
I will preface this review by saying these are some of the WORST, MOST MISERABLE BOSS FIGHTS IVE EVER PLAYED. EASILY THE WORST PART OF THE GAME. IT'S LIKE GOING TO A RESTURANT, GETTING AN AMAZING FIVE COURSE MEAL AND THEN GETTING A PILE OF ♥♥♥♥ BETWEEN EACH COURSE THAT YOU HAVE TO EAT OR YOU CAN'T HAVE THE NEXT MEAL. That being said, that's my preference and you may find different. With that out of the way, Ninja Gaiden Black is EASILY the best action game I have ever let grace my system. It isn't close either. I have played alot of action games but none quite scratch the itch that this one does. This is virtual cinema and power fantasy supreme. Every fight is a dance of blood and guts where you play a human blender who gets told to murder a bunch of people, then is given a bunch of weapons to do said murder. Everything you do had the chance to remove someone's limbs from their body in some of the best dismemberment I've seen in gaming. No enemy is safe from your onslaught as you rip and tear through the hordes with a variety of ninja tools such as magic, swords, axes, scythes and more. No matter what you choose, heads will fly. This is phenomenal. I am enjoying this more than 4...and I am really enjoying that one. The fighting is fluid; the graphics are hugely improved; and the combat is perfection...PERFECTION. Also, I suck at this game and am having my ass handed to me by every boss. 10/102 found this helpful
am a souls player who enjoys a big challenge in all my games but no matter what difficulty i tried putting. this game with that camera was the hardest difficulty genuinely most insufferable camera controls of all time unplayable really absurd a remake for a decade + old game they could not fix that. simply because the developers clearly cared more about graphics than actual gameplay and thats not to say the gameplay isnt fun because it is but it really is just annoying dealing with that camera this is not 2008 anymore its 2026 almost 2027 remakes for old games should be a minimum to fix problems the og version had on the new ones.1 found this helpful
